Three things you need to know before betting on 49ers-Seahawks:

1. The Seahawks have gotten the best of this head-to-head series in recent years, going 16-5 both straight-up and against the spread when facing the 49ers over the past 10 calendar years. Seattle is 10-2 both straight-up and against the spread when facing San Francisco at home under head coach Pete Carroll. While the two straight-up home losses the Seahawks suffered to the 49ers in that span were by 5 points in 2019 and by 2 points in 2011, Seattle’s 10 home victories were by an average margin of more than 17 points per game.

2. While Seattle is 17-8-1 over its past 26 games as an underdog dating back to the start of October 2017, San Francisco is 5-9 straight-up and 4-10 against the spread as a favorite over the past 14 months. The 49ers are 11-17 straight-up in divisional games since Kyle Shanahan took over as the team’s head coach prior to the start of the 2017 season, and they’re 8-13-1 in divisional games since the start of 2018.

3. Eight of the Seahawks’ past nine regular-season home games have gone Under the total, with an average of 39.2 total points having been scored over those nine games. The Under is 8-2-1 in games Seattle has played at home against NFC opponents over the past two calendar years.
