Three things you should know before betting on Tennessee-Alabama:

1. Tennessee hasn't beaten Alabama since the 2016 season — a game in which the Crimson Tide actually covered the spread — and Nick Saban's team has covered in 10 of the 14 games these teams have played since then. The Crimson Tide have also won by double digits in each of the last five meetings between these teams. Also, Alabama is one of only eight FBS teams that’s allowing an average of fewer than 91 rushing yards per game. Since the start of the 2019 season, Tennessee is 1-5 against the spread when facing an opponent that’s allowing an average of 120 or fewer rushing yards per game.

2. Fourth-ranked Alabama is one of only four FBS teams that’s scoring an average of more than 44 points per game this season. Since the start of 2017, FBS favorites of between 21.5 and 31 points that are scoring an average of 35 or more points per game are 17-5 against the spread, including 8-1 against the spread since the start of 2019, when coming off four straight games in which they scored 37 or more points.

3. The Under has hit in each of the last two games these two have played against once another. The Under is also 11-2 when Tennessee has played against teams with winning records over the last three seasons. It's also 10-2 in Tennessee games in the second half of the season in that span.
