Three things you should know before betting on Oklahoma State-Iowa State:

1. After a miserable start to the season, Iowa State has won and covered in three of its last four games and now enters this meeting with undefeated Oklahoma State as a favorite of a touchdown — depending on where you look. When these teams met last season, the Cowboys won 24-21 as 2.5-point home favorites. However, Oklahoma State did have stud running back Chubba Hubbard in that game, and the team will likely miss his presence in this meeting with a stout Iowa State rushing defense.

2. Under head coach Matt Campbell, the Cyclones are 8-3 straight-up and 10-1 against the spread in October home games. Iowa State is also 13-4 straight-up and 11-6 against the spread when playing as a favorite of between 3.5 and 10 points in that game. As mentioned earlier, the Cyclones have one of the nation's toughest rushing defenses. Iowa State is giving up less than 100 rushing yards per game this season, and that's going to make things pretty difficult on an Oklahoma State team that lacks an explosive passing game.

3. Each of the last two meetings between these teams have gone Under the total, but the Over has hit in Iowa State's last three games coming into this one. The Over also happens to be 8-3 when Oklahoma State is coming off a road win as an underdog under head coach Mike Gundy. On top of that, the Over is 9-5 when Oklahoma State has faced defenses that allow 4.5 or fewer yards per play in that span.
