Three things you need to know before betting on Nebraska-Oklahoma:

1. This is the first meeting between these two teams since 2010, when Oklahoma earned a 23-20 victory over Nebraska as a 4.5-point favorite in the Big 12 Championship. The Cornhuskers had won the regular-season matchup between the two teams, coming away with a 10-3 victory as 4.5-point underdogs. That win by Nebraska was the only one by the team in the last six meetings between these two programs. For what it’s worth, both teams are coming off impressive performances a week ago. Nebraska won and covered for a second straight week, earning a 28-3 win as a 13.5-point favorite against the Buffalo Bulls. Meanwhile, Oklahoma was a 49.5-point favorite against the Western Carolina Catamounts and won, 76-0.

2. Oklahoma is 6-0 against the spread over its past six games as a favorite of 23 points or fewer. And after the way the Sooners allowed the Tulane Green Wave to get back into the game in the season opener, it’s unlikely that Lincoln Riley’s team will lose focus again this season. Having said that, Nebraska is 3-1 both straight-up and against the spread when coming off a home win by 17 or more points under head coach Scott Frost. The Cornhuskers are also 5-1 against the spread when coming off back-to-back covers in that time.

3. Since Frost has taken over at Nebraska, the Over has hit in six of the eight games that the Cornhuskers have played with a total between 56.5 and 63 points. The Over then moves to 4-0 in the four of those contests that were played on the road. At the same time, the Over has hit in nine of the 11 games that Oklahoma has played when coming off a non-conference game under Riley. The Over is also 13-4 when the Sooners are playing against teams that throw for at least 275 yards per game.
