Three things you should know before betting on Alabama-Auburn:

1. Alabama has been one of the better teams in college football this season, but that's not to say that the Crimson Tide have been perfect. Despite being 10-1 on the year, this team is extremely flawed by Nick Saban's standards. The Tide lost straight-up as 15.5-point road favorites against the Texas A&M Aggies earlier this year, and they have also covered in just three of their last six games. Since the start of the 2012 season, the home team is also 8-1 straight-up and 7-2 against the spread in the Iron Bowl. Alabama is a miserable 3-6 both straight-up and against the spread in its last nine trips to Auburn. The Tigers have won outright in the last two meetings between these teams at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

2. Under Saban, Alabama is just 3-8 against the spread in the 11 games in which the Crimson Tide have played on the road in games with a total between 52.5 and 56 points. Meanwhile, over the last three seasons, Auburn is 10-5 against the spread in games with a total between 49.5 and 56 points, and the Tigers are also 11-7 against the spread at home in that time.

3. Four of the last six meetings between Alabama and Auburn have gone Under the total, with last year's game seeing the two score only 55 points in a game with a total of 65.5. Meanwhile, the Under has hit in two of the last three games the Crimson Tide have played, and it's also 6-3 in the last nine games the Tigers have played.
