ETOBICOKE, Ontario—Owen’s Tour Guide notched her first stakes under a shrewd ride from Jose Campos in Saturday’s $100,000 Zadracarta at Woodbine. Owen’s Tour Guide ($16.70) has done her best running on the lead this year, but she rated kindly along the inside in sixth heading into the turn of the five-furlong inner turf dash. Favored Olivia Rose and Cara Cara fought for the lead throughout. Campos angled Owen’s Tour Guide outside for the drive and they caught the leaders inside the sixteenth pole en route to a one-length win in a time of 57.25 over a course labeled as good. :: Bet the races with a $200 First Deposit Match + FREE All Access PPs! Owen’s Tour Guide was scratched from a conditioned allowance on Friday and was supplemented to the Zadracarta by trainer Willy Armata. “On paper, it looked like the three-other-than was a little bit tougher,” Armata pointed out. “We made the decision to jump over. It was a perfect ride. Campos came by in the morning. When he rode her before, she just tracked [the pace]. Sometimes the trip would work out. Today we decided to sit off it and hope for the best.” A 6-year-old daughter of Tourist, Owen’s Tour Guide earned $60,000 for Tequesta Racing Inc.  :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
