The Skinny
Juvenile stakes-winner has yet to crack the trifecta as a three-year-old, and his lack of early speed may leave him with too much to do when the real running begins. Raced very wide on the backstretch and far turn of the Sir Barton, and was under the whip over two furlongs out. Couldn't go with Royal Assault in the stretch, but finished evenly, and should appreciate the added distance. He has yet to reach 90 on the Beyer scale, however, and he will need an immense amount of improvement to contend with these. Best hope may be for a pace collapse. Others look much better on the win end.
