(4) HIGHPOINT CHIP set a strong pace in the snow and was picked off late by the pocket-sitter who enjoyed a perfect trip. He should be tough here. (9) FOUR CARD MAJOR was claimed off a big win and he can't be discounted - even from out there. (1) SKY GUY is worth a look dropping into a claimer and switching to McNair. He could add some fuel to the early fire. Race 2 (6) STELLAS BOY powered home with a 57 2/5 back 1/2 to get up on the line last time. A repeat of that effort should be enough to beat these. (2) SVENSSON escaped the pocket a couple of strides too late, but that was an improved effort and he should contend here, too. (3) FRENCH BASTILLE steps up off a blowout win and while he obviously moved up with the barn change, he is unlikely to get the same soft trip on the lead here. (4) I JASMIN improved last time and she can hit the ticket here with a similar effort. Race 3 (6) TREASURED TEE trotted up a storm late to win his debut. This isn't the toughest step up to non-winners of two, so, I'll stick with him. (4) ONE OF THE FEW has raced well in both starts over this track and he looks like the main danger here. (3) REAL WORLD GOAL is a horse that gets McNair in a race that appears to have few real contenders. The leading driver has feasted off these types of situations for many months; using. (9) P C FOREIGN AFFAIR can pass many of these late; use underneath. Race 4 On paper, there is a very good chance that (3) BADSTORMANYPORT will get the same perfect trip he got to win last time, and it's unlikely he will be the chalk, so I land here. (2) NINOSCREDIT is the one to catch here, but he could set the table nicely for the choice. (5) WILLEY BITE got bogged down in the snow last time when trying an extended first-over move. Expect better from him here. (6) JACK RACKHAM is another who should improve here racing on a normal track. Race 5 (5) JENKINS CREEK moves into the top barn, gets a hot pilot, and he has won several times before on this circuit; top call. (4) SHIPPEN OUT is another going for a new barn that has won here before; using. (6) BIG PETES STYLE rarely wins, but he has been getting closer lately and he could pop soon. (3) LINCOLN BLUES lost 41 times straight last year, then clicked for two straight wins at year's end. The time off concerns me here, so I would use on the bottom, if at all. Race 6 The last time (5) CATCH THE DREAM raced this low (on October 28th), he was sent hard off the gate for position and won. Expect a reversal of tactics and fortune here. (7) WILD AND CRAZY GUY couldn't get by making his move uncovered last time, but, a similar tactic could work here. He's dangerous. (1) LEAN HANOVER was used up early last time racing in the snow. Put a line through that race; he fits here. (8) O NARUTAC PERFETTO will be closing for a slice here. Race 7 (1) FIRST CAR simply went to fast, too soon last time. Better rating gets him a win here. (6) SOUTHWIND MASIMO will likely take heavy action on the class drop, but while he is a contender, he is somewhat trip-dependent. Let price be your guide with him. (9) P L IDAHO stopped on a dime after showing high speed early while racing on a wet track. Sharp improvement from him wouldn't shock me here. (7) WHATASHOWINONTARIO sports some miserable recent form, but, can you toss any horse that's moving into Moreau's barn? Race 8 (7) ODDS ON AMETHYST is too hot to go against at this point, so I won't. (4) MISTER HERBIE was no match for the choice two starts back when trying it first-over, but he can be closer here if he can work out a better trip. (3) WILL TAKE CHARGE - 2nd to the choice last time - figures for another share here. (5) FREE WILLY HANOVER, always closing ground it seems, should be used underneath in exotic bets here. Race 9 (6) TOMY TERROR stopped after getting used hard racing in the snow last time, but he gets a positive driver change here racing off the claim; slight nod. (7) SENOR GRANDE is tough racing in this class; using. (4) ROCKABELLA doesn't win often on this circuit, but he comes off a sharp effort and he can hit the board again here. (5) SMALLTOWN TERROR is worth a look after recently changing hands. Race 10 (8) MARQUIS VOLO returns at a level where he will be very tough, if the intent is there first time back. (10) BUZZ is the hot horse and even post 10 may not stop him here. (6) OPTIMA KEMP lacked room at a critical point last time. He's in with a good shot here. (4) MAJOR ATHENS should last longer here if the track is normal this time. (2) ADVERSITY loses McNair, but he can close for a piece of this.
