Pete Colwell was the winner of the $25,000 BRISnet.com Online Handicapping Challenge, which concluded on April 25. Colwell earned a grand prize of $5,000 in cash plus a qualifying spot in the DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship VI in Las Vegas.

Players in the free two-day contest selected one horse to win in a total of 20 pre-designated contest races. Colwell accumulated the highest two-day bankroll based on mythical $2 win-and-place bets.

The top three finishers in the Online Challenge earned trips to NHC VI. Rounding out BRIS's three person team are second- and third-place finishers Jeffrey Blaylock and Florence Rotman.
