LA man wins Reno Hilton Winter Challenge

The Reno Hilton hosted its two-day Winter Challenge tournament on Feb. 7-8 with a total purse of $27,600 up for grabs among a field of 138 players who entered the event at $200 apiece. The winner of the contest, Hesham Rajab of Los Angeles compiled the highest contest bankroll based on a total of $600 in real-money pari-mutuel wagers throughout the two-day contest.

The top four finishers in the contest will each earn DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship VI qualifying spots. The Reno Hilton's second- through fourth-place finishers were Ed De'ath of Las Vegas, Dick Kistler of Reno, and Connie Roths of Yuba City, Calif.
