Age: 44 Occupation: Real estate developer Road to the Finals: Finished first and won $10,000 (plus his $2,600 live bankroll) in Louisville Trackside's All-In Handicapping Challenge on Oct. 28. Bio: Qualified for the National Handicapping Championship for the second time. Finished 171st at NHC IV in Jan. 2003 as a member of the team from Churchill Downs. Has been a horseracing fan since attending the harness races at Louisville Downs as a teenager. Mike has been playing in tournaments since the days of the now defunct World Series of Handicapping at Penn National. His best day ever at the track was at the 2001 Kentucky Derby won by Monarchos, when he hit for $15,000 including $6,000 in exacta earnings, $6,000 in trifecta earnings, and another $3,000 playoff for betting Monarchos in the future book.
