Bio: Qualified for her second National Handicapping Championship at Fairplex's Sept. 18-19 qualifying contest. Finished ninth at NHC IV in Jan. 2003, earning a $2,000 prize as a member of the team representing Fairplex Park in that year's national finals. Gail is the wife of Southern California-based trainer Jerry Searing, who conditioned stakes winner Vigors Gold, among others. Her most memorable moment in the game came last year when she and her husband and her family sent their horse Our New Recruit to Dubai and won. She also is an exotics player in addition to playing in handicapping contests, and once hit a superfecta for a personal all-time high payoff of $36,000.
