Bio: Messina will be celebrating his 69th birthday in Las Vegas while playing in NHC VI on Jan. 22. Started going to the track with his friends and had loved it ever since. A win wager that returned $2,600 was his biggest score until he earned the $15,000 first prize at the Louisiana Downs NTRA Qualifying Handicapping Tournament on Oct. 23.
