Age: 59 Occupation: Retired from sales Road to the Finals: Finished first out of a field of 6,445 entrants to win the Del Mar Online Handicapping Challenge from July 21-Sept. 8. Bio: Loughlin was introduced to racing by his father 50 years ago. His top payouts so far include a Pick 6 for $192,000 and a $30,000 check for finishing second in his best tournament showing to date. James is a baseball and basketball historian from 1950 to present. He says that his dog Mocha enjoys horse racing and keeps him company while he watches TVG.
