Home: Towson, Md. Age: 52 Occupation: Consultant Road to the Finals: Finished third the Maryland Jockey Club Champions Tournament on April 24 at Laurel and earned $1,000. Also got to keep his into a real-money bankroll of $1,592.Won the Turf Paradise DRF/NTRA Regional Handicapping Tournament on Dec. 11 and earned $20,640. Bio: Was introduced to the game by his late father, Pete Kousouris Sr. Owned horses in partnership starting at age 18 with brothers Lou and John. Once hit a $8,900 trifecta at Atlantic City Racecourse when a horse he owned finished third. Had help from a stranger en route to his third-place finish at Laurel. Kousouris found a live $5 win ticket on the floor for the 10th race at Gulfstream. When the horse he was originally touted on got scratched, Kousouris decided to bet $100 of his real-money contest dollars on the horse from the found ticket, which won.
