Home: Wayne, Pa. Age: 41 Occupation: former attorney, currently applying to vet school Road to the Finals: Finished second out of 314 entrants in the Delaware Park Handicapping Tournament on Dec. 4. Bio: Michael's father and brother are both turfwriters and public handicappers, so it's no wonder he became interested in the sport of horse racing. His dad, Russ Harris, also qualified for NHC VI in Autotote's On The Wire phone wagering contest. He has been playing in tournaments for quite some time and considers his top effort to date, to be winning a qualifying round of the old World Series of Handicapping at Penn National. He also once hit a trifecta for $17,000. Harris is now involved in the ownership side of the game, having claimed his first racehorse, a gelding named Jamaican Me Nuts back in 2002.
