Home: Spokane, Wash. Age: 62 Occupation: Retired salesman Road to the Finals: Finished sixth in Emerald Downs's Ultimate Handicapping Tournament on July 25. Bio: Qualified for his second National Handicapping Championship with a top finish at Emerald Downs for the second year in a row. Finished second in Emerald's Ultimate Handicapping Tournament to qualify for NHC V, and followed up that performance with a sixth-place finish this year. Finished in 100th place at NHC V. Handicapping contests are not his only game. Davey has been playing the races since a friend introduced him to the sport on 1967. He also plays the Pick 6 and once hit a Pick 6 for $21,000 at Santa Anita. Claude's nephew, Sean Felix, also handicaps, and, like his uncle, has also now qualified for the NHC two years in a row at Portland Meadows.
