Home: Newville, Penn. Age: 46 Occupation: Budget analyst for Pennsylvania Children and Youth Services. Road to the Finals: Finished second in the Maryland Jockey Club's handicapping tournament at Laurel on April 6. Bio: Tim O'Leary was the runner-up finisher behind Herman Miller in the DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship III in Jan. 2002, for which he earned second prize money of $30,000. Qualified for the NHC for the second time representing the Maryland Jockey Club. Introduced to horse racing while at college at Shippensburg University. He and a group of friends, and a gentleman named "Stinky" would drive to Charles Town three times a week. Formerly played in the World Series of Handicapping at Penn National every year, and owns one tournament championship at Pocono Downs in 1985. Won a large Twin Trifecta pool at Penn National on Dec. 26, 1986, and bought a racehorse named Pretty Doon with the proceeds. Pretty Doon won at Penn National two days later. He enjoys sharing handicapping experiences involving friends who have unfortunately passed away in the last couple of years.
