Zensational to stand at Hill 'n' Dale

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Sprinter Zensational, currently riding a four-race win streak that includes three victories against older horses, will stand at Hill 'n' Dale Farm in Lexington at the end of his racing career.

Zensational won the Triple Bend Handicap, Bing Crosby Stakes, and Pat O'Brien Stakes in his most recent three starts, earning triple-digit Beyer Speed Figures in each.

Ahmed Zayat's Zayat Stables paid $700,000 for Zensational at the Fasig-Tipton Calder select 2-year-old sale last year. Zayat will retain 100 percent ownership until Zensational arrives at Hill 'n' Dale.

Bob Baffert, a recent inductee into the Racing Hall of Fame, trains Zensational.

"Zensational is a horse that got my full attention when breaking his maiden in spectacular fashion in a hand ride," said Hill 'n' Dale president John Sikura, adding that he considers the colt "a rare and special racehorse."

Bred by Claiborne Farm, Zensational is out of the stakes-winning Phone Trick mare Joke.

Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly referred to Zensational as "believed to be the first horse of his age to beat older horses three times consecutively in Grade 1 company." He is not the only 3-year-old to have accomplished that feat
