LEXINGTON, Ky. – A couple of young jockeys posted notable firsts Sunday at Keeneland. Alex Canchari, a perennial top jockey at Canterbury Park, registered his first victory in Kentucky by winning the Sunday opener aboard Boxer Boy ($29.20) for trainer Doug Anderson. Canchari, 23, had gone 0 for 56 on this circuit since moving here in late August, although he does have three wins at Indiana Grand during that span. Edgar Morales, 19, won the fifth race on Star Dog ($25.80) in just his fifth mount after migrating from his native Puerto Rico. Former jockey Julio Espinoza is his agent.
