With the likes of Shartin N and Mackenzie A taking the week off, a couple new mares (and one repeater) emerged victorious in Friday night's fourth round of the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series at Yonkers Raceway. Scandalicious (Tim Tetrick), who was second, third, and seventh in her three Matchmaker tries coming into the night, was the first new winner, taking the opening $40,000 flight in 1:53 4/5.  She trailed in the field of five through stations of 26 4/5, 56, and 1:24 3/5, came second-over behind Lady Shadow (Jason Bartlett) on the final bend, then rallied four-wide through the late to defeat pocket-sitter Miss Irish Rose A (Larry Stalbaum) by a nose.  Lady Shadow was third after the first-over grind. The victorious 7-year-old mare by American Ideal is trained by Scott Di Domenico for owner JFE Enterprise LLC.  This was her 31st career victory, and she has now earned $541,538.  Sent off at 7-1, she paid $16.80 to win. Medusa (Yannick Gingras), who was second in the Matchmaker final last year, had claimed a second, a fifth, and a third during her three prior Matchmaker tests this year, but she was in top gear on this night, bagging the second division in 1:54.  She was up to get the lead from favored Call Me Queen Be (Scott Zeron) at the 27 second opening quarter, then reached the half in 56 4/5 and the three-quarters in 1:25 2/5.  Call Me Queen Be popped the pocket nearing three-quarters, but Medusa kept her bid at bay, and then Medusa fought off the rally of a second-over Clear Idea (Mark MacDonald) through the lane, prevailing by a head.  Call Me Queen Be had to settle for third. A 7-year-old daughter of Bettor's Delight, Medusa is trained by Ed Hart for owners Randy Bendis and Thomas Pollack.  She posted the 32nd win of her life, and she has now banked $683,943.  She was dispatched at 5-1 and returned $12.40 to win. Lakeisha Hall (George Brennan) was the only mare who had already won in the series to score again, taking the final section in 1:54 1/5.  Fresh off a win last Friday, she cleared Motu Moonbeam N (Brent Holland) for command going to the 27 2/5 opening quarter, was unchallenged through middle-half panels of 57 and 1:25 3/5, and kicked home in 28 3/5 to defeat Motu Moonbeam N by a length.  Dudesalady (Tetrick) turned a second-over journey into a third-place finish. Ron Burke trains Lakeisha Hall, a 5-year-old mare by Third Straight, for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC., and Jack Piatt II.  She is now a 21-time winner in her career, and she has pocketed $486,243.  She was the 9-5 second choice and paid $5.60 to win.
