Yonkers: Tuesday 3/13 Analysis

MEET STATS: 65 - 271 / $497.00

Best Bet: BRADEN (1st)     Spot Play: CLASSIC CALL (3rd)

Race 1

(2) BRADEN Speedy gelding moves to the Hilltop and Bartlett sees fit to drive. Clearly the one to deny. (3) WAIVER HANOVER Meadowlands invader can be right in the mix with Brennan at the helm. (1) RAVENSWOOD REESE completes the trifecta.

Race 2

(2) TREMENDOUS HIT was nailed in his recent start. Trotter can boss this weak group. (6) LONG STORY SHORT had a mild rally in his last start and could have a say in here. (7) CC MISTER C might fare better than his last flop.

Race 3

(4) CLASSIC CALL The good news is this gelding moves to the inside and has good speed to make a fight of it down the stretch. (2) SEA ME NOW Recent qualifier at the Big M was a prep for this and he's the main danger. (7) CAM B ZIPPER sharp effort at Dover for win honors.

Race 4

(4) AJS POPPOP Closed strongly from the eight slot to grab the place spot. Gelding's form is good enough to indicate he can get the job done at best. (2) UPFRONT ELLIJAY ED Nice score at Saratoga last time out; makes him the one to beat. (1) MAJOR AT HEART should fare well from the rail.

Race 5

(1) WEIGH THE ODDS put in a game score in his last start. Retains the fence and will be tough in here. (2) ASK DIRECTIONS showed good early zip at Dover. (3) ALEXPANDERTHEGREAT Jersey shipper could be right in the hunt.

Race 6

(2) STONEBRIDGE ROCKET Did not race badly in his recent trip upstate. Gelding has good speed and Sears gets the call. Rates and pounces over these. (1) SHOWDOWN AT SUN UP Three sharp starts in a row makes him a strong contender. (5) LOVE TO ROCK will be closing in the final strides.

Race 7

(2) ROCK N ROLL JET Delaware invader will try the half-mile oval tonight. Sophomore gelding has tactical speed and with some racing luck, he can take this at his best. (1) SIR JONATHAN Z TAM His last start was not bad and he should be right there from the fence. (4) THE REAL BUCKEYE could land a share.

Race 8

(1) AVENUE HANOVER has tactical zip and this four-year-old moves to the rail. Can boss these with Dube at the controls. (6) MATTS JACK Did not race badly in his qualifier recently at Dover. (2) PAINTED BLACK went down the road for win honors last time out.

Race 9

(4) CRUZNWITHDABIGDOG lost all chance when this pacer broke at the quarter pole. Now trainer Burke pushes the down button on this guy and that might be what the doctor ordered. (6) STONEBRIDGE BONUS ships in from Jersey and his last two tries were not bad. (2) GET A JOB showed some late pace upstate last time out.

Race 10

(7) FROGGY TURNER Gelding is knocking at the door and with a collapse of the early pacesetters, this guy can top these at his best. (5) LAKE SHARK put in a good late run recently to land the place. (6) FOX VALLEY TRIBAL will be the one to catch.

Race 11

(6) BEAU RIVAGE N Ten-year-old did gapped in his last start but now he's moving down the ladder with the hope he can get the job done tonight. (1) GRITTY MILLIE BOY showed good early zip at the Meadowlands in his last two tries and the rail can help his chances. (3) DIAMOND DAN N will be flying late.
