Yonkers: Tuesday 1/17 Analysis

MEET STATS: 5 - 31 / $25.00

BEST BETS: 1 - 3 / $2.80

Spot Play: MANHATTAN AS (9th)

Race 1

(7) HI HO STEVERINO was hung out to dry at the ¾ pole but did manage to grab fourth money last out; threat at his best. (1) BETTORSLUCKYSTREAK should appreciate the move back to Yonkers and the fence should help his cause. (4) BLADE SEELSTER has tactical speed and could make some noise in the stretch drive.

Race 2

(1) KASHS EXPLOSION came from nowhere to nail down the show spot in his initial try at the Hilltop. Now the trotter moves to the fence and it's good to see Gregory at the helm; dangerous. (2) OOH RAH was sent down the road in his latest for all the glory; the one to beat. (4) YOLO LINDY has wheeled off two straight victories at Monticello; watch out.

Race 3

(6) PARADISE SKIES did not fire at the Meadowlands last out but this pacing mare seems to have better luck on the half-mile oval; upset factor. (3) SWEETNSINFUL Mare makes her return to Yonkers where she has done her best; main danger. (5) SUMMER SNOW put in a mild rally for show money recently and is clearly not out of this.

Race 4

(6) MAJESTIC MISTRESS was very sharp for her score last time around and this trotting mare catches a weak group; repeat is well within the realm. (2) MASS BALANCE gets post relief and he does have some early zip. (4) ALEX IN FRONT put in two nice qualifiers and gets the services of Bartlett; don't overlook.

Race 5

Will take a shot with (5) PEMBROKE SCORPIO to put it all together against these given the fact he has good speed. (3) CODE WORD moves to the 3-hole and will need to revert to his 12/17 trip upstate; capable. (6) MARTY MONKHOUSER A is knocking at the door based on his last two starts.

Race 6

(4) FOX VALLEY HERMIA was hung outside turning for home and lost all chance in her latest. Pacing mare does fit with this group and a favorable trip can put this gal right back into the winner's circle. (5) NEW YORK KITTY was sent down the road in her last start for all the glory; threat for the repeat. (1) COOL DESIRE moves up the scale off the hat trick score last time out; must be considered in all the exotic slots.

Race 7

(2) TACO TUESDAY Consistent trotter was an easy winner last time around and now he reverts back to a flat mile and has a cozy post to keep on his winning ways. (6) GIDS PASSION was sitting in the pocket most of the way but could not get to the winner in his latest; factor. (5) DEWDLE ALL DAY will be closing late.

Race 8

(4) BS WEDDIE seems to be a better spot than in his last one and could pick up all the pieces if he minds his manners. (8) MY TEMUDJIN N has put in two nice efforts in a row; post hurts but the 10-year-old is very capable. (2) DAVID THE SAINT has good speed and will be the one to catch from door number two.

Race 9

(1) MANHATTAN AS Trotting miss could not have found a better spot to get back to the winning groove and she has every right to take these down the road. (2) ZAGSTER comes by way of Canada and has fine speed; big threat. (6) ALVAREZ has good speed and figures to get a favorable trip; watch out.

Race 10

(5) HUGH HEFNER N came very wide and rallied strongly for the third spot last time out at the Big M; can take this at his best. (1) NEW YORK TOWN N should do much better on the half-mile oval and the rail should put him right in the hunt. (2) ASTOR did put in a mild rally for fourth money in his Jersey finale; don't overlook.
