Best Bet: SAMS ESCAPE (8th) Spot Play: WESTERN STEPP (2nd) MEET STATS: 477 - 1354 / $2,586.30 BEST BETS: 64 - 115 / $211.00   Race 1 (4) BACKUP A has been very consistent of late and he gets the best possible draw dropping back down in class. (7) AMERICAN ISLAND went too fast last week facing better; Bartlett will be firing hard with the Banca trainee. (6) STYX IT TO EM N was an upset winner last out and can be considered on the bottom of the ticket tonight. Race 2 (2) WESTERN STEPP has been facing some decent stock up in New England and now she picks up Sears upon arrival; worth a look. (4) BELLATRICKS is clearly the one to beat dropping in class with an improved post. (5) CRACKLIN ROSIE ships from Canada and she was good as a youngster; perhaps she fits with this type. Race 3 (5) AMERICANGIRLFRIEND has been rock-solid in her last four starts at this basement claiming level and the Lance Hudson trainee clearly deserves top billing. (2) DELICIOUSLYNAUGHTY returns locally for Stalbaum/Asher and despite missing a few months I'm sure she'll be ready to roll. (1) MACY BLUE CHIP N drops in for a tag, draws best but is 0 for 30 on the season. Race 4 (2) DOUBLE YOUR BET was stuck in the eight hole in his first two starts for the Robertson barn and went nowhere; worth a peek moving way inside. (5) BURNING SHORE is another Canada shipper who could fit in here just perfectly but he seems like the camera-shy type. (1) RU READY TO ROCK has back class but isn't the same horse; use caution. Race 5 (5) TORRID BROMAC N rallied nicely versus better last out and the Chris Marino charge seems overdue. (1) PERCY'S Z TAM folded up on the front end upon moving to the Hudson barm and he gets another crack from an inside post and could have more to offer. (3) UNDERTAKER ships from Ohio, joins the Allard barn and deserves instant respect. Race 6 (2) MAC'S SECURE has been first or second in her last six starts and the speedster looks the most reliable in here. (6) DANDY'S BEAUTY returns locally and had some good efforts here a couple of months ago; worth considering if anywhere near her 20/1 morning line. (1) KAMWOOD LAUGHTER N returns from vacation with an even qualifier; will she need a start? Race 7 (2) MILLWOOD FAITH N gets needed class relief and Bartlett drives again from this good post; Vallee-trained mare should be able to handle these. (3) MOSQUITO BLUE CHIP has plenty of talent but is extremely frustrating to wager on; don't accept too short of a price. (1) HEELS ON THE BEACH is another Canadian shipper and she may make an immediate impact for Allard. Race 8 (1) SAM'S ESCAPE has found a new home at this $12,500 claiming level and the gutsy veteran is the one to beat from the rail. (2) BOOGIEWOOGIEBRIAN finds herself back down at the bottom class and she may have tailed off after a nice run. (3) ABBEYLARA never wins but can be used underneath. Race 9 (4) BIG BAD BOSSMAN has been sharp since moving into the Asher barn and he was an upset winner here two back from a similar spot. (3) ROCK ABSORBER battled hard versus better last out; Banca trainee is always a threat when drawn well. (5) R CAAN needs a live setup to get the job done and I always seem to guess wrong on this guy. Race 10 (5) RISE UP NOW is another in the parade of Canadian shippers and this one also joins Team Allard; gelding has been flashing high speed recently over the small tracks. (3) SUPER IMPOSED ships in for Marino and has been facing better recently. (2) MCERLEAN was awful last out for seemingly no reason; tough to know what to expect tonight. Race 11 (3) DULL ROAR hasn't done much in recent local efforts but that was from outside posts; is there anyone to get excited about in here? (2) BULLVILLE KYLE never puts in a bad effort but also never seems to win; he is a player from this spot, however. (4) RANSOM DEMAND gets some needed post relief and Bartlett picks up the drive. Race 12 (2) KEYSTONE HONOR makes his sixth start back off the break and should be tight enough to win. (3) SAMMY THE BULL N drops from the 50K claiming ranks and was winner verses these four back. (1) CHEYENNE JEFFREY was an upset winner from the rail last out and may be overlooked in the wagering again. [DRF HARNESS NEWSLETTER: Sign Up for the FREE DRF Harness Newsletter.
