MEET STATS: 285 - 1131 / $1,905.90
Best Bet: IDEAL MICHAEL (3rd) Spot Play: GLASS PACK (7th)
Race 1
(8) SHARK DRESSED MAN Despite the draw to the eight-hole, this guy is very sharp and has every right to get the job done at his best. (1) KID CRUISER & (2) OLIVE LOAF have both scored their last two in a row.
Race 2
(3) NOWERLAND FIREBIRD Clearly this gal is knocking at the door and good to see Brennan back aboard. (4) CANACO QUIZ gets serious post relief. (8) GET PACKIN is on a roll but will have to score his fourth straight from post eight.
Race 3
(1) IDEAL MICHAEL Great to see this gelding moves to the fence and he could take this group down the road with Stalbaum back at the helm. (5) GOING NATIVE could be right in the mix with Brennan. (7) STEUBEN N moves down the scale.
Race 4
(1) DAYDREAMIN LYNX Gelding moves to the rail slot and that might be what he needs to take this group to task for all the cash. (4) WAYWATCHER raced evenly in his last trip. (7) ACTION BRAD His qualifier at Monticello was good enough to contend.
Race 5
(6) ROCKIN ROBERT charged home to victory in his last trip and this guy is sharp enough to take another. (4) MAR DREAM was second best in his last try. (3) M K G Speedy gelding has been tough in Canada scoring three in a row.
Race 6
(4) BENNS SURE THING was nailed in his last try but this old pro can boss this group. (3) RULE BY STRENGTH gets post relief and that might help his chances. (2) ALTERNAT THURSDAYS put in a mild bid at Pocono last time out.
Race 7
(2) GLASS PACK Jersey invader has tactical speed and now he moves his trade back to Yonkers; trainer Yogi Sheridan calls on Brennan to drive. (1) GHEES HOUSE has wheeled off two in a row. (4) GIACOMETTI Even finish in his last one.
Race 8
(1) ISLAND JET Two-year-old colt is knocking at the door and clearly he can put his best foot forward from the fence. (6) SAVANNAH SPLENDOR could be right in the mix against these. (3) RICCARAS STAR draws better.
Race 9
(3) TOP DOC moves back inside and has good speed to rate and score against this group. (7) POINTED VICTORY has hit the board in his last two tries. (2) LIGHTNING STRIKE gets class relief.
Race 10
(5) NEPTUNE rallied for the third spot last time out and could be ready to best these. (2) COLD BATH draws much better. (6) ROCKWEILLER has good speed to contend in this event.
Race 11
(1) BEAU RIVAGE N Good to see this old pro moves to the fence and he could take this group to task. (7) LILYS HI HO went down the road for win honors recently. (3) ORR HANOVER beat lesser company in his last trip.
Race 12
(1) PHILANTHROPIST Bartlett keeps the faith on this gelding and he did show life in his recent try. (2) MCCEDES has speed to contend with these. (4) NABBER AGAIN could land a share.
Best Bets
BIG JOHN B takes a short drop off the claim and layoff, which could be viewed as a negative, but he has some decent works for this return and he has a decent-sized Beyer edge against this group; tactical speed should help him work out a favorable trip. SKIFFS BREWMEISTER merits respect off that last win and figure, his best yet; dangerous if he's able to take another step forward. BRODY BOY finished off the board in his turf debut but he earned a decent figure despite running 7th there, and he did endure a fairly tough trip; most recent workout at Parx indicates he retains his form.
