Yonkers: Thursday 5/26 Analysis

Race 7 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool

MEET STATS: 129 - 549 / $819.00

BEST BETS: 13 - 56 / $54.30

Best Bet: RD IOU (2nd)

Spot Play: HARDTS OR BETTOR (5th)

Race 1

(2) NORTHERN DALI moves back to the Hilltop, gets a cozy post and Brennan with the assignment; big threat to boss these. (8) AMERICAN ALIVE has wheeled off two straight victories; post hurts but is very capable. (6) ANEGADA should find this group to her liking and could make some noise with a favorable trip.

Race 2

(3) RD IOU is 0 for 6 but this mare makes her return to Yonkers where she has a fondness for; could be ready for top effort. (2) FOX VALLEY HERMIA should have more speed against these and might have a say in the outcome. (4) AFTER ALIMONY will need a better trip than in her last try; possible?

Race 3

(2) BIG BAD BOSSMAN Gelding gets class relief and that should help his cause. With a fine-timed drive he can get the job done. (5) DRIVE EM COWBOY has hit the board in his last five starts and must be considered in all the exotic slots. (4) HARMONY OAKS RULER comes by way from Saratoga and should fare better from the 4-hole; maybe.

Race 4

(7) BOOGIEWOOGIEBRIAN was uncovered and lost all chance in the stretch drive last out. Gelding will be seeking his second score of the year and good to see Bartlett with the call; playable. (3) ITSONLYROCKNROLL A has scored in his last two at Monticello and should be right in the thick of it. (5) CANBEC KINGKAZIMIR is knocking at the door based on his last three starts; not out of this.

Race 5

(6) HARDTS OR BETTOR Even trip in his latest and now this gelding is on the dropdown; could boss these. (5) REAL FLIGHT Gelding has been in the exacta picture in his last five tries; main danger. (4) STATION THREEOHSIX did show good speed in his last start here and could be right in the mix.

Race 6

(1) MY IDEAL HANOVER Mare now moves to the fence and she has the tactical speed to rate and score over these; the pick. (2) UPFRONTWHOSURLADY was sent down the road but tired in deep stretch and settled for the place spot recently. (6) GEISHA GIRL N was a sharp second in her last trip and might be right there against these; we shall see.

Race 7

(3) BABY REMIND ME moves back inside and moves down the ladder so that might be what she needs to get back into the winner's circle. (2) CARLOTA BLUE CHIP got the job done last out via the pocket route; big threat again. (6) COLLAGE Based on her last two starts indicates she is knocking at the door; watch out.

Race 8

(2) NORTHERN BEAUTY gets post relief and Brennan is back in the bike with this 4-year-old mare. With a solid trip she could greet the cameraman for pictures. (1) KEENE OLIVIA has been facing Open foes upstate and could make some noise from the 2-hole. (7) HER OWN LAND Sharp out of the gate but did not have enough gas in the tank to reach glory; quite capable.

Race 9

(1) JDS CALEB MAN makes his return to the fence where this gelding took them wire to window and this seems to be an excellent spot for this 10-year-old to return to his winning ways. (5) MAGIC MANNY just did not have the kick to move forward last out and settled for show money; big threat. (4) COWBOY TERRIER gets post relief and figures to have a say against this group.

Race 10

(8) BOURBON BAY was flashing good speed at the Meadowlands last out; gets a tough post but this seems to be a better condition for this gelding to take these to task. (2) HASTY PROFFITT did not race badly at Philly in his last two starts; main danger. (5) ANDY RAY could grab a share of the purse.

Race 11

(7) BROWN BRINNY Mare has scored in her last two starts and she is in sharp form so the hat trick is clearly not out of the question despite the move to the 7-hole. (4) KAITLYN RAE Down the road victory in her latest makes this mare a strong contender. (1) TIPITINA moves to the rail and is dropping in class; not out of this by far.
