Yonkers: Thursday 2/8 Analysis

Best Bet: FRANCO RAYNER N (5th)

Spot Play: PREPARTY (1st)

MEET STATS: 42 - 123 / $264.10

BEST BETS: 7 - 11 / $24.20

Race 1

(4) PREPARTY returns to Yonkers and has raced well with better than these in the past; Harmon trainee deserves top billing in this inconsistent field. (2) ADMIRAL has been racing just evenly of late but he draws well and this barn has been doing well. (6) CLASSIC AMERICAN N was lacking in the late stages last week but he may be on the move early again.

Race 2

(3) BIG SKY GLIDE is very lightly raced but the homebred has shown improvement at Freehold and gets a driver upgrade to Dube. (2) LAW OF ATTRACTION raced okay in a needed qualifier and was Stratton's choice. (6) TOUGHER THAN EVER is just 1 for 32 lifetime but has been racing well recently.

Race 3

(1) CHILLED DESIRE A has speed, the best post, and a driver who isn't afraid to send this mare down the road. (5) CRACKLIN ROSIE did have a bit of excuse last week as he got a little jammed in on the rail; I assume Stratton will be looking for good early position from this spot. (3) ASHOK ACE hasn't been that bad, hitting the ticket in her two starts off the claim.

Race 4

(4) STATHAM N pretty much toured the track from a tough spot in his U.S debut for Tritton. Lightly-raced import could be ready to show more tonight; watch the board. (2) ARI ALLSTAR was game in defeat last week and may be cutting the mile again. (5) DEDI'S DRAGON never got involved last out after hiking to this level; consider underneath.

Race 5

(2) FRANCO RAYNER N elected to sit the pocket last out, let the winner get away too cheap on the front end and was held at bay; 'Team Bongiorno' import drops in class and seems capable of destroying these. (4) DIAMOND COWBOY debuts for DiDomenico off the claim; must be considered. (3) AMERICAN VENTURE qualified well then showed speed from the eight hole last week; he's got some back class.

Race 6

(6) ALL THIS COMMOTION has looked good since arriving locally and joining the DiDomenico barn; no reason he can't take this despite the less-than-ideal starting post. (1) HOLIDAY PROMISE certainly makes sense from this spot but may need to show more in the late stages. (7) SHORT TERM MEMORY jogged last out after being left alone on the front end and the horse he beat came back to win; Burke trainee is a player.

Race 7

(3) DULL ROAR is not the most prolific winner but neither is anyone else in here; Mark Ford trainee is usually competitive at this level and does draw well enough. (5) TAURANGA seems to be tailing off but he does get needed class relief. (2) THEREISAPACEFORUS is just 1 for 37 over the past two seasons but he can land a piece from this inside post with a smooth trip.

Race 8

(8) JANDERSON has been right there in all starts since moving to the Burke barn and she's sharp enough to grab that elusive victory, even from this tough post; Brennan will be on the move early. (7) HIGH GLIDER is another speedy sort with a poor post...tough to look outside for the top two spots but nobody else here thrills me. (2) MUSCLE ALMIGHTY arrives from Canada for Garcia-Herrera and looks like a good fit but has missed some time.

Race 9

(4) TEXAS TERROR N has a couple of tough ones inside of him but he know he's got the class and he's been good for some time now; he may be capable of grinding these down. (1) ELWELL closed sharply last out and the Laterza trainee is always a player with an inside post. (2) MACON GEORGIA A never got involved when reclaimed by Lance Hudson but he gets post relief and is reunited with Stratton.

Race 10

(1) LMC MASS GEM jogged two back from an inside post at this mile distance and the Allard trainee can control these tonight. (5) PAPPY GO GO is a very interesting shipper from the Maritimes who was perfect in 13 starts last year and now joins the Andrew Harris barn with a nice qualifier; dangerous if ready. (7) PINGALING was Kakaley's choice of four in here.

Race 11

(4) TECHTOR HANOVER has raced well in all recent without a victory to show for it; seems capable with a smooth trip. (5) SPORTS BETTOR moved to the hot Bongiorno barn and showed major improvement down at Freehold. (8) ALLSTAR PARTNER was Kakaley's choice and he has the early speed to overcome the outside draw.
