Best Bet: AMERICAN MAJOR (5th) Spot Play: GIVENUPDREAMING (11th) MEET STATS: 421 - 1212 / $2,296.00 BEST BETS: 60 - 103 / $198.70   Race 1 (5) BETTOR REASON N was a very sharp winner last week making one move and a similar effort will take this. (1) DIRTY DEVIL has been better in his last few and it's tough to ignore his back class (not to mention Bartlett/Banca). (6) BIG TURN ON was aggressively handled in his last start and gave way on the front end; he can land a share reverting to off-the-pace tactics. Race 2 (4) CADILLAC PHIL jogged four back the last time Bartlett was in the sulky; I'll use that angle for selecting him on top. (3) SANDESTIN HANOVER was going nowhere in a hurry last out from the eight hole versus better; you never know with these Allard trainees so check the board for signs of life. (6) COPPER COAST A was reclaimed again by Brittany Robertson and Stratton will be on the move early with the veteran. Race 3 (1) BRUNELLO N lands the rail in this very soft field and should control these from start to finish. (4) FEELING CAM LUCKY is 0 for 28 on the season for Lachance but he does fit with these and looks like a prime contender. (5) SEVENS HOPE A is a rare Down-under import who has shown absolutely nothing since arriving; include just in case and watch him for signs of life. Race 4 (5) NORTHERN DALI has been a terror all season at this (optional) $12,500 claiming level and should take another, especially with her nemesis (Glamorgal) having some question marks off the barn change. (1) MAYA SCAPE draws best and should be good enough for second. (8) ROYAL KNOCKOUT gets a big driver change to Zeron, has loads of back class and can be considered for a piece despite another poor draw. Race 5 (1) AMERICAN MAJOR ships from Pennsylvania, joins the Frederico barn and faces softer; we've seen this angle connect plenty of times in the past. (4) ACEFORTYFOURAMANDA was second best to a runaway last week and that's two board finishes in a row for the Banca mare. (2) LOOKOUT STOKK ZONE can save ground and is good enough to land a share versus these. Race 6 (4) LUCKY MAN just keeps chugging along and the millionaire is back in fighting shape; oldtimer can take another but won't offer much value. (2) SLY RULER gets needed post relief and an upgrade to Bartlett. (7) SIMPLY BUSINESS has never been a prolific winner but he does drop in class and should be a good price to include underneath. Race 7 (1) IDEAL PRINCESS was a good second three back when drawn inside and a similar effort can take this. (8) CHEAP N EASY is stuck outside but she's been sharp and Brennan can be counted on to fire from the gate. (3) AMANDEROSA steps up with a good closing effort from time to time. Race 8 (2) STEVENSVILLE doesn't win as often as he should but it's not like he's been particularly bad in any recent outings; Stratton's back driving. (1) TALK SHOW was on a brush and bottom-out mission last week and collapsed at 1/5; clearly he's capable of rebounding. (8) SOMEWHERE FANCY is as good if not better than anyone in here but he's stuck in a tough outside spot. Race 9 (1) FEEL THE NEED A has been racing well in all recent without a victory to show for it and the DiDomenico trainee will get over the hump sooner rather than later. (3) SPORTSMANSHIP has really turned things around over the last month; threat. (4) ALBERTO CONTADOR N finished belatedly last week and Sears drives again. Race 10 (3) GO COLLECT N is up in class off a loss but that was a solid effort from a tough spot and he bears following off that race. (1) GRAND MASTER gets the all-important class and post relief, plus Bartlett is back driving; big threat. (2) WESTERN ROCKSTAR broke well before the start last week losing all chance; assume that was a fluke and include this veteran. Race 11 (6) GIVENUPDREAMING was a sharp two-move winner a few days ago and gets a free ride at this level. (4) FIRST OF ITSKIND has raced well in his last few and would be a bigger threat if kept closer to the action. (3) CAPOZZO doesn't win often but is always useful for a share. Race 12 (4) LETTUCEROCKTHEM A was used early then was nailed late by a million-to-one shot last out; give the gelding another chance versus a rather nondescript field. (1) RAINBOW ROMANCE N rallied very nicely to defeat lesser last out and looks like the main threat here. (2) A REAL MIRACLE gets post relief and should be close up throughout.
