Race 1

(5) FIRSTCLASSFLIGHT comes off a win at this level and draws well enough to stay in a striking position if Brian Sears elects not to leave. (1) DELICIOUSLYNAUGHTY has speed and the pole position, but has been known to get caught at the wire this year. (3) CAT CORA rallied nicely off a quick pace last time; clear player. (4) YOUNG AMERICAN has hit the board in each of her last five starts.

Race 2

(1) E L ROCK goods a good post to work with this week and takes on a mostly formless group. (5) CHET N SPANKY is one of the few which have been racing well. Four-year-old seems capable with a decent trip. (6) WHAT WINNER has plenty of class to him. Don't toss him off your tickets.

Race 3

(4) IF I DIDN'T CARE drops back down to a winning level for trainer Rick Dane, Jr. (3) LITTLE MERMAID N could be the lone speed in this field and would be dangerous if left to her own pace. (5) QUICKSILVERCANDY A gets a slightly better post to work with tonight. She is capable of flashing early speed on her best nights.

Race 4

(7) AZOREANSAILOR ships down from Canada and finds himself in a new barn. Veteran faces a lifeless bunch tonight. (4) HILLCREST DYNAMITE is another moving into a new stable. Maywood import has plenty of early speed. (6) ARTS BLAZE is a smooth trip away from getting into the photo for win.

Race 5

(3) SAINT PATTY'S DOLL steps back down the claiming ladder to the level of her last victory. This isn't an easy spot, but she deserves the edge in a 1 1/4 race that is loaded with early speed. (2) WELL CONNECTED KID has won two straight, the last in a pretty quick time. (1) SUN OF A VICTORY should save ground and get a nice piece. (6) RINGSIDE MUSCLE always looks to be one step away from a break but somehow keeps his act together.

Race 6

(4) GOOSE CREEK moves into the Tracy Brainard barn; anything is possible. (2) JOLLY JUBITER is another that hails from a high percentage outfit. Gelding should be close to the action. (3) LARAMARS SOUL steps up from time to time at this level.

Race 7

(1) CHEYENNE MIRIAM has responded nicely to the barn change and addition of Lasix. Four-year-old should be hustled away early from the rail. (3) NUTMEGS DESIRE knows how to win. She figures to be on the engine. (2) DENYITTOTHEEND gets some needed class relief.

Race 8

(2) VICTORIA MAY N hails from a barn that tends to fire on these types of class drops. This looks like a good spot for a big effort. (3) LITTLE MISS HENRY scored at first asking for her new connections last time. (1) ALITTLEEASTERMAGIC is back in town at a reduced level; very dangerous.

Race 9

(1) INSANE IN SPAIN moved down a notch to this level last time but drew poorly. Now he has the rail and should use it to his advantage. (3) GIDDY UP DELIGHT is capable of firing off the gate; Sears drives. (2) ADDWATER looked good while down in class; maybe.

Race 10

This is a tough race with many contenders. (3) MACH THIS WAY has won consecutive races for this claiming tag and deserves the narrow call. (5) I DO IT MYSELF romped by six lengths most recently. (6) FOX VALLEY HERMIA has done very well for new trainer Nick Surick. She had no chance from post eight last week. (1) MY IDEAL HANOVER has speed and the best post.

Race 11

(2) LET HER ROCK seems to be on the cusp of a victory and perhaps a new set of hands in the bike will make the difference. (4) MISS ANNIE J could be dangerous is she makes the front easily. (1) IT'S DE LOVELY has speed and the inside post.

Race 12

(4) BABE'S CHIP comes in from Chicago with a good record on the half-mile track at Maywood. This looks like a decent spot. (3) EVIL EVA & (1) BAD GIRL VEGAS are both moving from the eight-hole to inside posts.
