Yonkers: Thursday 10/15 Analysis

MEET STATS: 47 - 118 / $216.40  BEST BETS: 6 - 10 / $20.20

Best Bet: ST LADS MORGAN (1st)

Spot Play: GODDESS’S ROSA (8th)

Race 1

(2) ST LADS MORGAN drops down and faces a blank field; down the road. (1) SADIES PLACE doesn’t seem to like an off track if her recent starts are any indication; second best. (8) GLAM CAN is unlikely to win but has the speed to make some noise.

Race 2

(1) BACK TO THE WEST dropped and popped last time; hard not to like him here. (5) BLUE STRIKE is another moving down the claiming ladder. Some will ignore this veteran because of the driver change, but this trainer is capable in the bike. (7) PRINCE PINANG completes the drop-down top three. Trainer Rob Harmon and driver Dan Dube are a good combo.

Race 3

(4) YOU LITTLE RASCAL closed well from post eight last time and is certainly more than qualified to beat this group with a better trip. (2) ALITTLEEASTERMAGIC looks like the clear one to beat, but I wouldn’t go wagering the house. (5) TWIN B HEARTLAND comes off big win; not impossible. (3) NATY gets a better post to work with this week.

Race 4

(2) MACHO CHICK is down in class and seems worth a shot at an upset of (1) DEREK DELIGHT, who is the clear favorite but only has one win in his last seven starts. (4) HOOSIER CHATTER is steps down a notch and lures the track’s leading driver.

Race 5

(2) PITA broke in her first start for this barn but still finished up willingly; another shot. (1) TOP BRAND gets some serious class relief and is a must use on every ticket. (6) EXHILARATED hasn’t been at Yonkers for a little while, but does return at a reduced level.

Race 6

(2) DOUBLE YOUR BET took the week off from post seven. He moves inside and figures to bring a big effort. (1) AMERICAN TOWER had a bit of late life in his most recent start; sign of better things to come? (8) QUALITY CLOSER raced well upon arrival but is hampered by post eight.

Race 7

(7) THESEYESRCRYING is razor sharp right now. I’m going to take a shot that he can overcome the rise in class and bad post. (1) PL FIGHTER draws best and should save ground for a good trip. (3) DALLANBECH HANOVER seems capable of winning, but only has done so once this year.

Race 8

(5) GODDESS’S ROSA was just claimed by Daniel Renaud, who sent this gal out to a four length win in her last race in this barn. She seems worth a play. (1) DENYITTOTHEEND has speed and the rail, but isn’t quite the win machine she was at the beginning of the year. (6) ART FRENZY arrives from Pocono and adds Brennan. Maybe he can wake her up?

Race 9

I’m not sure this is the best spot for (6) MONTREAL PHIL, but he is moving into a barn that wins at a high rate and has 53 career wins. I’m not expecting the 20-1 morning line, but he should offer some value. (7) THEREISAPACEFORUS has a win and a second in two starts for this barn. (1) ALL FIRED UP should stay close and hit the exotics, though I’m not using him on top.

Race 10

(3) ACT NOW hasn’t been able to compete on the stakes circuit as an older mare but should be able to go with this crew. (1) GRACE SEELSTER has speed, form and an inside post. (4) NEFERTITI BLUECHIP, (5) CANACO STAR & (6) NARCIAN JEWEL all hail from good barns and could perk up at a moment’s notice.

Race 11

(3) ROCKN RUBY N wasn’t exactly great in her U.S. debut, but faces a blank field and can make amends. (4) I DO IT MYSELF gets a better post to work with in her second try at this level. (1) BRUSSELS HANOVER comes off a line that has the looks of her choking down or tying up; can get a piece.

Race 12

(1) HER OWN LAND moves down in class and figures to be live from the inside. (3) SIR LEHIGH Z TAM can save ground and finished strong. (2) GEISHA GIRL N is a bit of an unknown quantity; maybe.
