Best Bet: HOME’N DRY (3rd) Spot Play: SHORT TERM MEMORY (11th) MEET STATS: 15 - 57 / $102.90  BEST BETS: 3 - 5 / $10.30 Race 1 (6) ROCK OF CASHEL has been razor-sharp since returning from vacation and there's no reason he cant take this with any sort of smooth trip. (8) MELADY'S MONET had plenty of finishing trot from an impossible spot last week but he's got to overcome the outside post again. (7) TIGHT LINES was clearly short last week gapping cover but he should be tighter today and having his nose on the gate can help. Race 2 (10) MUSCLES ON FIRE has basically been overmatched in every start since moving to a new barn and the class relief will surely help today. (7) LE REVEUR N took money upon arrival for Allard and raced well in defeat; threat if he's not too far back. (5) QUICK DEAL broke before the start from the second tier last week but is a big speed threat from this spot if he minds his manners. Race 3 (9) HOME'N DRY has raced very well in his last two starts after a dry spell to end his 2017 season; he gets major class relief today and should be able to take full advantage. (2) LILY'S SWAN POND was dead game last out despite a long trip; Surick trainee is a player here. (3) THERAPUTIC hasn't raced that badly in his three starts since moving to the Bamond barn. Race 4 (10) NOBLE WARRAWEE has proven he fits at this NW10000 level and should be a decent enough price from this tricky starting spot to take a stab. (1) BINGO QUEEN also goes well at this level but the break in stride off the holiday layoff is a bit concerning. (6) ARRAKIS lands in a spot where he can fire off the gate and he may be able to hang around for a share at a big price. Race 5 (7) A NASHTY BUSINESS behaved himself last week after a series of ugly lines, flashed good speed then was shuffled. Further improvement off that effort can give him a big shot at a price. (4) WATKINS isn't the most prolific winner but this looks like a very live spot. (6) PEMBROKE CASTAWAY ships in from Pennsylvania and may fit well here. Race 6 (10) CASH LEEBROOK faced better in his last few Yonkers starts and he returns to Gingras in the bike for good connections. (4) BROOKLYN BOND qualified back effectively and the erratic trotter can grind to a win here if in the mood. (3) SEASONED SAINT took advantage of an easy spot last week and jogged. Race 7 (2) NOBLE POWER gets post relief for the Harmon barn and meets a very inconsistent field of bottom-level trotters. (6) ARUBA VACATION has some speed and gets a major driver upgrade to Kakaley. (1) STEAL N GAS needed last week's race and could be a bit tighter. Race 8 (2) TROPICAL TRICE made a break last week but the prior effort wasn't bad; mare draws well and likes to win. (6) SEXY P V has made live moves in his two starts since the Banca purchase and Bartlett sticks. (7) CRAZYCAT gets major class relief but draws poorly. Race 9 (2) BARN SIS disappointed in her local debut for Banca then freshened up with Lasix added; she can ready to roll from this improved post. (4) ALEXANDRIA HANOVER also gets post relief and should be more involved. (1) LIFE WELL LIVED doesn't like to win but has some speed and the best draw. Race 10 (1) ALL THIS COMMOTION has been great since adding the hobbles and is tough to look past from this spot. (8) JANDERSON raced nicely in her local debut but is now stuck behind the eight ball. (4) CELIA CANTABA moves to the Schnittker barn and picks up Stratton; consider for a share. Race 11 (3) SHORT TERM MEMORY was much-improved in his second start off the Burke purchase despite breaking turning home; trotter looks enticing at his listed 8/1 morning line. (5) ANDY M returns to the east coast off a nice qualifier and has stakes experience. (2) PILGRIMS TIDE ships in for Team Kakaley and draws well enough. Race 12 (1) ACES AND EIGHTS ships in off a sharp wire-to-wire score at The Meadowlands, draws best and is clearly the one to defeat in the finale. (5) ALWAYS A GOOD TIME debuts for Allard off the purchase and he's proven with this type. (2) PINGALING steps up off a game win last week.
