Race 1

(3) CHINA GRILL was a powerful winner two back, then had no chance of reaching last week in that paceless race. From this improved post an aggressive steer from Lachance can get it done. (6) MICHAELS POWER was clearly outsprinted last week but he looks like the main speed again and he was Sears' choice of three. (1) STATESMAN N draws best and should be heard from.

Race 2 – NYSS Final

(3) JS TROTTING BOB rolled into a break early in his last NYSS test. Prior to that he had taken four straight in solid fashion and from this inside post if he can navigate the first turn and sit a trip he'll be tough. (2) CREDIT FASHION closed in :27 4/5 last out to earn the dead-heat. The rail spot can be tricky for these young trotters so hold your breath early. (5) FLYHAWK EL DURADO has been hard to fault for Mark Ford, earning 188K in his brief career. He draws outside of his main competition which will make things tougher tonight.

Race 3 – NYSS Final

(5) MAUD BLUE CHIP was a very safe and handy winner over this surface in her final NYSS prep. Sears should drive on to the lead from this spot and she can coast from there. (4) MARKET RALLY has shown nice versatility in her young career for Cummings, Jr. and she lands a decent midpack post. (1A) EXOTIC FORM picks up Bartlett in the sulky tonight for Dan Daley, who always seems to have some live stock for the Night of Champions.

Race 4 – NYSS Final

(2) ALI BLUE is clearly the most accomplished in here for the powerful Takter outfit. Filly raced credibily in major stakes action at Mohawk and is perfect in her NYSS tests; clearly the one to beat. (3) SWEETNSINFUL was a well-rated winner in her lone local appearance three back and she should be forwardly placed tonight. (5) SUPLEMENAL INCOME went down in flames as the heavy favorite last out at Batavia; prior form is fine and she'll be a much better price tonight.

Race 5 – NYSS Final

(4) BOUNCING BAX comes into this final riding high, having taken four straight. Her effort here two back she was on cruise control late. (5) LOLA DE VIE has some breaking issues (don't they all?) but she qualified safely and she picks up Sears tonight. (3) WYGANT LADY draws well enough and she can hit the ticket with a live trip.

Race 6 – NYSS Final

(2) MODEST PRINCE self-destructed on the first turn last out at Monticello, but he had plenty of trot once he settled down. Toscano trainee draws best here and if he minds his manners he could trip out here versus this very competitive group. (3) E L ROCKET also made an untimely break in his last NYSS test but the Burke trainee has been solid in prior starts and he'll be right up in the action. (4) CRAZY ABOUT PAT set a track record at Monticello and he obviously looms large here; Goodell gets the drive.

Race 7 – NYSS Final

(1) HE'S WATCHING proved last out he's not totally invincible, though he did hold on by a desperate nose while drifting late. David Menary trainee has been the star of this division, and there's no reason to think he'll be defeated tonight. (2A) DESIGN GURU will surely be firing from the gate with Brennan at the controls; second best? (1A) MAJOR TRICK was an upset winner last out; he draws well and is coupled with the top choice, providing insurance. (5) BIG BOY DREAMS looks for four straight but he may be done in by the poor post.

Race 8 – NYSS Final

(5) SUMMERTIME LEA was the standout two-year-old champ last year, and she looks like the one to beat this season. Figure on her going down the road at odds-on. (1) SIR LEHIGH Z TAM should be aggressively handled from this spot and Lachance can secure a pocket trip. (4) WINBAK HEAVENLY should also be forwardly placed for Marohn, Jr.

Race 9 – NYSS Final

(1) SIR CARY'S Z TAM has faced some tough competition versus both NY breds and open company. Lachance trainee sports some good efforts against Jug winner Vegas Vacation and he was a Meadowlands Pace finalist. From this inside post he's capable of stalking, shaking free and charging home. (5) FOOL ME ONCE tuned up last week versus tough company at Mohawk. Prior to that he's been the star of the NYSS circuit and he's clearly the one to beat from this spot. (4) FRAMED ART has quietly made some nice money in his career and he could be a price threat. (8) DOCTOR BUTCH will have his work cut out for him from post eight. Rooney winner needs an early spot in order to contend.

Race 10

(3) VILLAGE BEAT bumps back up the ladder off an easy score and he's classy enough to handle these. (1) MYSTERIOUS MOMENT gets some class and post relief; Lachance can save ground and rally late. (5) REAL FLIGHT is very consistent and races as well as he draws; exotics threat from this midpack post.

Race 11

(2) PONTIAC LUCK drops in class off two big eight-hole efforts; Ron Burke trainee looks rock-solid from this spot. (8) DALLENBACH HANOVER may be ambitiously spotted at this level off the claim but he's got the speed to overcome the poor post. (7) MEL MARA was overmatched in his last two; back where he belongs.

Race 12

(4) VERDAD was a winner three back at this level for Burke/Brennan and this isn't the strongest of fields; top billing. (1) ROLLWITHITHARRY has been good since joining the DiDomenico barn. (3) CLASSIC ROCK NROLL draws well enough and can be a big factor here.

Race 13

(3) EIGHTEEN saved ground and paced evenly in a fast mile last week; he can head to the front tonight and take these the distance. (1) BETTOR'S REWARD was a two-move winner last out and he draws best here; hard not to include him. (5) FAT MANS ALLEY raced a bit erratically last week; he's better than that.
