Yonkers: Saturday 9/21 Analysis

MEET STATS: 289 - 808 / $1624.70     BEST BETS: 39 - 64 / $131.40

Best Bet: VILLAGE BEAT (2nd)

Race 1

(2) WESTERN TRADEMARK was a good second versus better when last seen here; veteran returns to Sears and draws well. (7) FITZ'S Z TAM likely needed last week's start to reacclimate himself; Burke trainee can be better tonight. (3) OR gets needed post relief.

Race 2

(1) VILLAGE BEAT can be excused for last week's effort, where he tired after a two-move eight-hole journey; it should be smooth sailing tonight from the rail. (4) SAINT WILLIAM A has raced just evenly in his last handful; maybe Stalbaum tries to leave from this spot. (2) WESTERN DAKOTA can save ground from this spot and be close up late.

Race 3

(4) FORIEGN OFFICER returns locally at a reduced level and he's had plenty of success here in the past. (2) KYLE MAJOR raced well last week for Allard in his return and he draws well again. (3) LYONS JOSEPHJNR gets needed post relief and was a close-up finisher two back from a similar spot.

Race 4

(3) LETTUCEROCKU A was outfinished last week after a perfect trip but the veteran drops in class and draws well enough where he can compete. (1) SEA VENTURE is erratic but he has plenty of talent. (4) ROLL ON ships in for the Burke barn and he can make his presence felt here.

Race 5

(6) FANCY FOOTWORK changes hands via claim and picks up Sears; there's not much else to endorse here in this lackluster field. (5) PANFERMIN FESTIVAL drops in class, could be more involved. (4) GRAB YOUR KEYS was Brennan's choice and he seems to race as well as he draws.

Race 6

(8) BOLT THE DUER is clearly best here but it will be no cakewalk from the eight hole versus a very competitive group. (4) GREAT VINTAGE pulled off the mild upset last week with solid speed at both ends; he can fire from the gate again. (1) SAPPHIRE CITY will do his best to protect rail position.

Race 7

(1) CODE WORD had no chance last week from post seven in the Open; all prior efforts have been solid and he looms large from the rail. (4) DOMETHATAGAIN also gets some class relief after failing to fire in his last few. (6) ELECTRIC SHOOTER is sharp and he can be a closing threat at a price.

Race 8

(1) BJ'S GUY was a solid uncovered winner locally two back then he failed last week up at Saratoga at odds-on. A return to that last local effort should make him tough from this spot. (8) PONTIAC LUCK needs to fire out to be involved, and Brennan is great at finding early spots from outside posts. (4) P H SUPERCAM returns to Sears and is arguably in career form.

Race 9

(7) MONEY TWITCH A is going well now; with the right setup i wouldn't be shocked to see him flying home. (4) ESPEN DE VIE gets post relief and was Bartlett's choice. (1) OFFICERNAGENTLEMAN draws best and was tabbed as the early favorite but he is by no means a lock in here.

Race 10

(6) KEEMOSABE has big speed at his disposal and he faces a field with question marks; worth a look. (1) TAKE IT BACK TERRY ships back for Burke and draws best; big threat. (4) HEMER'S CARD SHARK was game in defeat last week.

Race 11

(3) AVENUE HANOVER gets post relief off those last two tough eight-hole journeys; upset potential from this spot. (2) I'M THE PIED PIPER drops in class, moves inside and he can carry his speed a long way. (4) STEELHEAD HANOVER returns off a sharp win and has Sears driving but I don't see how he lays over this field as his 7/5 morning line indicates.

Race 12

(6) FAT MANS ALLEY was nipped on the line as my best bet last week; chance to rebound at a better price. (4) CONNERY BLUE CHIP gets needed post relief and should be right in the thick of things here. (3) BETTORS REWARD has speed and draws inside of the main contenders.
