Email

MEET STATS: 279 - 816 / $1412.00   BEST BETS: 49 - 67 / $156.70

Best Bet: K SLATER (1st)

Spot Play: GRAB YOUR KEYS (3rd)

Race 1

(1) K SLATER just missed from a similar spot two back to a tough rival and he should easily take care of business tonight. (3) ROYAL BECQUET double-jumps off a win and he has some back class. (6) GALLANT SEELSTER hails from Mark Ford, whose barn has been live recently.

Race 2

(6) BULLET BOB gets a notable driver chance tonight to Eric Goodell and he's been in relatively good form. (2) AMERICAN VENTURE seems to have the ability but he refuses to put it all together; needs a good trip. (1) FLIPPER J has plenty of class to him but he hasn't been at his best recently.

Race 3

(5) GRAB YOUR KEYS gets post relief and the aggressive Brennan in the bike tonight. There's nothing special in here. (2) MORTAL ZIN is better than he's been showing. (3) REAL FLIGHT hasn't had a particularly good season but the gelding's got plenty of back class.

Race 4

(4) RU READY TO ROCK drops back to the level of his two solid second place finishes last month. (3) LIFE UP FRONT has clearly tailed off after his nice run some time back. (1) HOKURI HANDRAIL N lands the rail and he was a winner four back from the inside post.

Race 5

Hard to tell if (1) STATION THREEOHSIX has tailed off or if he's just been overmatched. Anyway, he drops, draws best and tries Brennan tonight. (3) TYE SEELSTER has raced well in all recent efforts. (2) SOMETHING FOR DOC probably won't win, but he'll be close up throughout.

Race 6

(3) SAPPHIRE CITY hasn't been himself in his last couple of starts but we've seen him bounce back before. I didn't think (6) TAKE IT BACK TERRY was Open-caliber stock but he's proven me wrong; big threat. (8) P H SUPERCAM is treated to the eight hole in his local return; waits for next week?

Race 7

(1) FOREVER JUST paced evenly last week while getting shuffled; prior efforts were solid. (5) ONE AND ONLY finished with plenty last week after the fact; threat if put in play earlier. (2) EIGHTEEN is right back in five days after wiring cheaper.

Race 8

(6) PANCETTA held well for second in the Open last week over a deep surface once getting passed; Sabot trainee takes this with any sort of live trip. (1) IDEAL CHAMP and (2) SAFE HARBOR are two hard-knocking geldings who fit with this type and will be prominent from these inside posts.

Race 9

(2) JUSTIFIED is allowed to drop in class off a big victory; there's something wrong with the system that allows this. I guess he's the winner at 2/5 odds. (6) BJ'S GUY was third best to the runaway Lucan Hanover last out; Godinez trainee has class and clearly fits here. (1) CAVIART KEY may be a tad outclassed but he should be close up and can hit the ticket.

Race 10

(4) SANTANNA ONE has had excuses in his last couple of starts; camera-shy type can get well in a hurry versus these. (7) DIGITAL Z TAM may be for a tough go of it from this outside post but the veteran fits with these and should be a decent price. (2) SIR ZIGGY'S Z TAM is always a factor with an inside post.

Race 11

(2) LETS ROCK TOGETHER gave way last out after being hounded on the engine; I'm giving him another chance. (4) SOUTHWIND AMAZON really hasn't put in a bad effort since arriving. (3) HILARIOUS HALO stays at the same level off a win.

Race 12

I Know I'm setting myself up for major disappointment and but I'm selecting (7) HERE WE GO AGAIN on top with the assumption that Sears will leave the gate and get a hole that usually awaits him. (4) HARD TO MACH should be a major player with a live trip. (3) BET THE MOON was an odds-on winner when last at this level.
