MEET STATS: 209 - 629 / $1037.50
Best Bet: ART OF ILLUSION (9th) Spot Play: DALLENBACH HANOVER (8th)
Race 1
(5) HIGH OCTANE N takes a much-needed drop in class tonight and he should be able to get the job done. (2) DOUBLESHOTASCOTCH is hard to endorse for the top spot but the camera-shy veteran looks like he outclasses the rest. (3) ON THE BRINK draws well enough to be a factor here.
Race 2
(1) P H JACKPOT gave a rugged effort before tiring last week; it should be smoother sailing tonight from the rail. (2) MCCEDES debuts for Cito, Jr. after the private purchase and he hits well with these. (3) OR bumps back up in class off a game placing.
Race 3
(8) MILITARY STRATCOM closed a ton from nowhere last week; gelding is in career form and the price should be decent from the poor post. (2) SPARKY had no chance in his debut for new connections; he's got a shot from the inside spot. (6) DVCFLYINGFRENCHMAN should be forwardly placed here and it's possible he may forget to stop.
Race 4
(5) EMJAYEM GRAND A drops in class in his second start for Virgil Morgan, Jr. and the gelding is capable of showing more. (8) HICKORY HORACE rates highly with Brennan driving, even from the poor post. (6) SIR ZIGGYS Z TAM merits consideration, but how aggressive will Lachance be from this spot?
Race 5
(5) TOBAGO CAYS does his best racing over the Yonkers strip and he's accustomed to facing better. (2) SAINT WILLIAM A is really starting to get on my nerves, but with that said, he's still a contender here. (3) VIPER HANOVER collapsed badly last week, but he still lures Bartlett off the Burke trainee.
Race 6
(1) NOB HILL HIGH is assigned the rail in his return to the Open ranks and we all know he's more than capable on his best day. (7) SAPPHIRE CITY has certainly exceeded all expectations this year and he remains a prime Open threat, despite the poor post. (5) FOUR STARZ TRACE never threatened on the rim last week, could be a factor with a better trip.
Race 7
(1) ELECTRIC OUI shares the track record here and he should go down the road from this spot. (7) JK CAMELOT is looking good now and he appears to have the speed to overcome the post. (2) FOREST VIC A will sit the rail, shake free and finish with pace, just like he does every week.
Race 8
(5) DALLENBACH HANOVER reunites with Brennan and they can go on a wicked speed mission tonight. (3) JACKED UP is clearly feeling good now. (1) FLIPPER J swept a tiring field last week as my choice but he appears beatable here as the morning-line favorite.
Race 9
(3) ART OF ILLUSION was clearly overmatched in his last two; he should find this spot more to his liking. (4) WINTER RETREAT A drops of claimers and should show more. (2) CANACO RUN gets needed post relief for Lachance.
Race 10
(3) REPORT FOR DUTY N failed as the odds-on chalk last out, should make amends tonight. (4) WESTERN DAKOTA gets some post relief and should be close enough to grind into contention. (7) ALFREDSSON debuts for new connections and was Stalbaum's choice.
Race 11
(1) SAULSBROOK FAME is in career form; ride him while he's hot. (5) PANSAI YAMAMOTO was going nowhere versus Open types; he was a good second two back from this post. (7) BET THE TOWN has plenty of speed if Dube elects to use it.
Race 12
(3) MR COOLIE was jammed in traffic last week and finished evenly; maybe he can leave to the front tonight. (1) ALIVEANDWELL N moves up in class off two solid outings. (2) HYPNOTIST should be close up throughout.

Best Bets
MOST HAPPY FELLA, reclaimed from last, drops to easier spot after setting pressured pace vs. odds-on Pinball; both wins last year came on this track. ARTIE LUVSTO PARTY has a knack for surprises, with three lifetime wins coming at 33-1, 17-1 & 11-1 (two on this track); entrymate EQUIVOCATION gets major rider switch first off a claim. PURE ATTITUDE among top 3 in wins & earnings and snug fit to date clause.
