Email

MEET STATS: 173 - 507 / $822.20

Best Bet: REAL NICE (6th)     Spot Play: BETTOR DESIGN (8th)

Race 1

(7) VESUVIO GRANDE has found his stride in his last two and was claimed by the sharp Buter outfit; he's capable of paying dividends at first asking. (5) COURSER HANOVER closed a ton upon arrival. (1) GODDESSS JUSTIN faltered late on the front end after setting a quick clip first-time Casie Coleman; Lachance drives tonight for the absent Brennan.

Race 2

(6) SHOW ME UP drops a notch for Mark Ford and Goodell drives tonight; they could be forwardly placed from this spot. (1) CANACO RUN raced well in his last two starts at this level. (4) EXPENSIVE TOY seems to fit well with these.

Race 3

(5) MOST HAPPY DRAGON had no real chance upon arrival; Burke trainee moves inside a few spots and Bartlett should be leaving the gate. (6) P H JACKPOT was pretty game in defeat last week; he would be no surprise here. (1) LAHAYE had little to offer last out; he's better than that.

Race 4

(1) FOUR TRUMPS A gets serious post relief and the veteran appears to have no excuse to fail from this spot. (6) MACRAIDER N raced well for third last week; can he leave the gate tonight? (2) MR COOLIE should be close up throughout.

Race 5

(8) K C COLT has been very sharp of late; he debuts for Croghan tonight and should be a nice enough price to take a shot with him. (4) MILITARY STRATCOM has been first or second in 14 of 15 this year; pretty logical. (5) BIG BAD ELI looks like steady stock from Josh Green.

Race 6

(5) REAL NICE returns to his preferred venue; down the road. (2) SAPPHIRE CITY was second best to the top choice two back, then took these the distance last week; hard to believe this four year old is legit Open stock. (3) JERRYS BROWN GOLD will be saving ground from this spot and he can sneak into the triple.

Race 7

(1) BJS BEQUIA raced steadily on the rim but never had a realistic chance of getting close to the top two last week; Goodell may try to take this field down the road tonight. I've been a big fan of (3) NOB HILL HIGH all season, and he finally gets some needed class relief, but he may be too short a price here. (2) HIGH OCTANE N bounced back with a better effort last week.

Race 8

(2) BETTOR DESIGN outraced his odds in the Open last week; maybe the class relief and good post can get him over the top. (6) FOX VALLEY TRIBAL was claimed again last out; even with speed inside of him Goodell figures to be gunning. (4) CASH CAB gets some post relief.

Race 9

Yes, I know (4) HERE WE GO AGAIN never wins, but I have a feeling he's going to get a smooth journey tonight and that may get him over the top. (3) PANSAI YAMAMOTO finished well last out after escaping traffic. (5) ONE MORE LAUGH is on the comeback trail and he did race well at Vernon.

Race 10

(6) GREYSTONE CASH has had some excuses lately; gelding drops out of claimers tonight and he may respond to the switch to Bartlett. (7) SAND BENELLI gets class relief, but his last couple were rather dull. (1) OK BRAVEHEART should be close up and can hold for a share.

Race 11

(6) WHOGOESFIRST races well week in and week out; Bartlett needs to leave and find a seat to be able to conquer these. (1) ELECTRIC OUI and (2) LIFE UP FRONT completed the speed exacta last week; either one would be no surprise here.

Race 12

(2) SILENT SWING still has loads of speed and is a nice moneymaker at age 10; he may be able to take these coast to coast. (1) AMERICAN RAGE can sit a pocket from start to finish. (3) SAINT WILLIAM A is capable of better.
