Best Bet: PACING MAJOR N (8th) Spot Play: BEYONDTHESILENCE N (5th) MEET STATS: 227 - 694 / $1,294.60 BEST BETS: 32 - 58 / $108.40 Race 1 (3) AZUL POOL was never really given a chance last week as he sat buried in traffic; perhaps that was a needed start after missing 3 weeks and he may be ignored in the wagering with Mike Simons catch-driving. (1) SETTLEMOIR has been good lately and lands the best post but he won't offer any value. (5) DON'TCALLMEFRANCIS returns to Yonkers off two wire-to-wire scores versus lesser at Saratoga. Race 2 (3) SPORTS BETTOR raced very well two back upon moving to the Banca barn but could not muster a second move from the eight hole last week; post relief seems to make him a major player tonight. (6) IDEAL ROCKY needs a trip but seems capable with this type. (1) ONE THROUGH TEN was good last week going wire-to-wire but he was a bit lucky as well as he was left alone and others were troubled; we all know what the game plan will be. Race 3 (3) ALOTBETTOR N got hopelessly jammed in and shuffled out when the leader quit last week; clearly he was good to go that night and he should be set to roll from this spot. (2) DREAM OUT LOUD N parked all comers in a solid score last week versus lesser and he's done well with this type (and better) in the past. (1) HOT DEUCE has speed and the best draw but it just seems the top two are classier. Race 4 (2) SHADY CITY has been sharp recently and can take air forever; should be close enough to grind his way to victory from this spot. (1) DREAM OF LUCK gets much-needed post relief and just missed from a similar spot five back. (3) SPRINTER N was a winner right off the bench at Philly but the Croghan trainee still needs to prove he can go with this type. Race 5 (4) BEYONDTHESILENCE N got aggressive early and was a sharp front-end winner last week; no reason to think Stratton won't employ those same tactics again. (6) CARACCI HANOVER did benefit from a good trip last out but the freelegged pacer has been in razor-sharp form and looks like the main threat. (1) BEACH MEMORIES showed a bit of life last week in a needed start and perhaps he shows more tonight. Race 6 (6) EVENIN OF PLEASURE has been a dominating winner in his last three Open races and the fact that he wins the draw for the outside posts makes the Bongiorno trainee a likely winner again. (4) ALWAYS AT MY PLACE was close up two back in the Open then was nailed at the wire versus lesser last week; Burke trainee still remains a player. (7) BIT OF A LEGEND N took a well-deserved couple of weeks off but now he returns in a tough spot; I suspect he'll  be rallying late. Race 7 (8) MARION MARAUDER is the best horse in here and deservedly assigned post eight, and will probably find a way to win without extending himself too much, but no Place or Show wagering??? Really??? I would like to meet the person who was planning on bridge-jumping. (6) DW'S NY YANK moves in a couple of spots and could be forwardly placed from the outset. (5) BLUEBIRD JESSE has hit the board in four of five Open tries since transitioning from the Bonus trotting series. Race 8 (5) PACING MAJOR N shows forward progress every single start and he faces arguably his softest field this season; tonight's best bet. (3) SOHO LENNON A never got involved from the outside post last week but still paced home in 27 seconds; he should be a player from this spot. (6) GIVENUPDREAMING and (7) SWING CITY are both stuck outside but seem capable of rallying for a minor share. Race 9 (3) BARIMAH A has looked very good in his two local starts and for his new connections, including last week's front-end score where he easily held off a classy rival; should repeat here as the favorite. (2) MISTER DAYTONA N was gutsy in defeat last week after a long uncovered challenge. (1) PROVEN DESIRE just could not reach last out but paced home steadily; should be a player from the improved post. Race 10 (2) AMERICAN BOY N did the best he could in his last two from tough outside starting sports; post relief makes him an obvious player tonight. (1) BLAISE MM HANOVER was a well-rated winner here two back versus cheaper and followed that up with a nice off-the-pace effort at Pocono; could be the one to catch from this spot. (5) VORACITY finally came through as the chalk last week with a solid uncovered score and the Burke trainee gets a free ride at this level. Race 11 (1) ALBERTO CONTADOR N drops a notch, lands the best post and usually flourishes from spots such as this. (3) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN still hasn't won in quite a while but was much better last week. (3) SANTA FE BEACHBOY gets some post relief and promises to be more involved. Race 12 (3) GRATIAN HANOVER took control last week, set a pressed pace under urging and gave way with little fight; Bongiorno trainee seems to be better from slightly off the pace and he'll certainly be a better price tonight. (4) MACH TIME N looks for three straight for a sharp barn but he'll have to work harder here. (1) SOHO WALLSTREET A closed well last out and now moves all the way to the rail; Croghan trainee will attract plenty of attention at the windows.
