MEET STATS: 153 - 442 / $881.50    BEST BETS: 23 - 36 / $72.70

Best Bet: SAMANDAR (10th)

Spot Play: SAULSBROOK FAME (3rd)

Race 1

(1) BE PACIFIC takes a needed drop in class and draws best. He raced well when last seen at this level. (5) ORR HANOVER closed willingly in his local return. (8) POWER OF A MOMENT has some speed and back class; I wouldn't be shocked if Brennan tried to fire from the gate.

Race 2

(3) KILLER QUAKES is up in class off the barn change but he does get needed post relief and he's reunited with Stratton, who handles him well. (1) CHANG DYNASTY enters the Fraley barn and draws best; Brett Miller is listed to drive. (4) DUKES UP looked good disposing of lesser in his Burke debut.

Race 3

(3) SAULSBROOK FAME drops in class and draws better in his fourth return start. Expect improvement. (6) GO WEST LUCKY CAM can fire from the gate if needed. (2) ELECTRIC OUI is back in off an improved effort just five days ago.

Race 4

(5) JOHNNY Z returns from Maine and this classy gelding has been competitive with this type in the past. (3) NOBLE FALCON gets needed class relief and he should show improvement. (2) THE POKESTER draws well again and he can hang around for a share.

Race 5

(1) PANCETTA has loads of ability and returns into a live spot; Sears should work out the winning trip from this spot. (4) NOB HILL HIGH is best here but he sometimes has trouble finding the winners circle; he may be grinding tonight. (2) IWANNARACE HANOVER has closed welll in his last few and now he draws inside.

Race 6

(5) VISIBLE GOLD ships in razor-sharp for Burke and he may well be a good fit with these. (6) JERRYS BROWN GOLD came back down to earth a bit in his last outing, but he can still be considered sharp. (1) FORIEGN OFFICER has speed, the rail and Sears driving.

Race 7 - Lismore

(1A) HANDSOFFMYCUPCAKE has shown steady improvement in her brief three-year-old campaign; stablemate to millionaire Handsoffmycookie had a solid freshman season and she looks like she's versatile enough to handle this midpack post. (5) OFFINTOTHESUNSET was a game second to a nice mare at Philly. (2) MATTWESTERN has loads of speed and draws best for Burke.

Race 8

(4) AMERICAN RAGE has done little wrong since arriving locally. Gelding held gamely for the duration last week and he looms a solid threat from this midpack post. (7) SAPPHIRE CITY is clearly feeling good again and he was dead-game last week timed in 1:50 4/5. (8) ROCKINCAM returns locally off a nice showing in the Dan Patch but he has to navigate post eight.

Race 9 - Rooney

(1) SUNFIRE BLUE CHIP had trouble on the turns but plenty of pace in the straightaways in last week's elimination. If Takter has the youngster figured out he'll be tough to deny here. (1A) SOURCE OF PRIDE parlayed a nice trip into a solid win last week; he's also blessed with a good draw. (4) DOCTOR BUTCH was clearly short in his seasonal debut; we know the Toscano trainee is capable of better. (6) LONEWOLF CURRIER closed a ton in his eliminaton; will he have too far to come here?

Race 10

(1) SAMANDAR was pretty game in defeat last week and I feel he's the one to beat here despite the rise in class. (3) I LIKE DREAMIN blew away cheaper last out and the Lachance trainee can build off that effort. (2) BESTNOTLIE HANOVER drops out of claimers, draws well can can be heard from late, especially off a ground-saving trip.

Race 11

(2) CONNERY BLUE CHIP certainly didn't disgrace himself with that uncovered effort last week; he can loom a solid threat with a live trip. (3) MONEY TWITCH A returns locally and he's looked like a new horse recently. (5) ADVENTURE BOUND was facing some tough ones at Philly.

Race 12

(3) LIGHTNING RAIDER N is still shut out of the win column this year but the Vallee charge fits with these and the price should be right. (6) SALEVSTER STALLION was dead-game in defeat last week. (7) STONEHOUSE ADAM lands outside again and may have difficulty overcoming the poor post.

Race 13

(3) ROADWAY proved gamest last week outbattling a stubborn rival; veteran is sharp again and he's capable of stringing a couple together. (2) LISTOWEL has come a long way and he's proven that he belongs with these. (4) LIFE UP FRONT has speed and may be put into play early. Honorable mention here to (5) FOREST VIC A, who still remains a solid player at age fourteen. Steve Smith will probably save ground here and he can land a piece.
