Yonkers: Saturday 5/2 Analysis

MEET STATS: 130 - 405 / $674.70  BEST BETS: 16 - 32 / $60.80

Best Bet: MICHAEL’S POWER (6th)

Spot Play: LUMINOSITY (5th)

Race 1

(1) KINDOFABIGDEAL had good pace in his last two starts while having no chance from outside posts. Tonight he moves all the way in and clearly looms large in the opener. (4) TWIN B SPEEDO came up flat from the pocket chasing a fast pace last out; Ford trainee should be better. (2) UPFRONT COUNTRYBOY gets all important class and post relief and will show more from this spot.

Race 2

(4) BET THE MOON emerged from the fog and was rallying with pace versus a touch lesser last out but the Burke trainee has loads of back class and should be good to go. (6) ROCK ON MOE seems to be getting better and he is a proven Saturday night commodity. (1) RAMPAGE JACKSON has speed and the rail but late stamina may be an issue.

Race 3

(4) JUSTIFIED has missed some time but he faces a very camera-shy group here and he sports a decent record the last two seasons. (1) STOLEN CAR makes plenty of sense from this spot and I can't fault anyone for using him on top. (2) TOWNSLIGHT HANOVER went just evenly in the late stages versus better last week and he will be prominent throughout.

Race 4

(1) MCERLEAN has been stuck in the deep end of the pool for weeks now; tonight he gets away from Levy foes and draws best. (5) INTHEPERFECTSTORM blazed the way upon arrival and was collared at the wire; recent down-under import should be tight off that effort. (4) DONAU was a winner at this level two back.

Race 5

(3) LUMINOSITY was a powerful winner versus lesser in his lone local appearance and he's got a post edge on his main rivals here. (7) NOT AFRAID was a little underwhelming last out but he does get away from DW'S NY Yank tonight; capable of better . (6) BEE A MAGICIAN is a champion mare making her first start of the season; hard to know if she'll be fully extended tonight.

Race 6

(5) MICHAEL'S POWER was nipped late by the resurgent Sapphire City last week in the Levy consolation; he's right back in the box tonight, with a cozy (and generous) midpack post to boot. (2) THE REAL ONE has been rock-solid in his three 2015 starts for Lachance. (6) BIG N BAD has taken three straight in powerful fashion but drawing outside of the top choice will likely make things difficult.

Race 7

(7) POLAK A came back down to earth after two big initial U.S. efforts and can be excused for his performance in the Levy Final where he really had no chance. I would hope Sears will get aggressive early with him tonight. (1) UNCLE GOODFELLOW gets tested for class but he's razor-sharp. (3) LIFE UP FRONT should be more involved from the improved post.

Race 8

(3) HANG TEN takes a needed drop in class and should be much more involved tonight. Note that he was a game winner when last at this level. (1) MARINER SEELSTER had pace last week once clear and he lands the best post again. (7) SMOOTH CRIMINAL was turned away as the favorite last out after a long uncovered trip and he may be in line for another tough trip from this outside spot.

Race 9

(5) REGULUS N has looked sharp in his three U.S. starts and there's no reason to think he can't get it done tonight. (4) IN COMMANDO had no chance in his last two starts; prior to that the Mark Ford trainee was razor-sharp in consecutive victories. (1) SOMETHINGINTHEWIND returns locally for Garcia-Herrera off a successful stint in Pennsylvania.

Race 10

(5) IDEAL FASHION gets tested for class tonight but last week's victory was so visually impressive that I'm going to give him the nod to repeat; he was Bartlett's choice of three. (3) DREAM OUT LOUD N went a big eight hole effort last week in defeat and he's got loads of back class. (1) HARD TO MACH has hit the board in all recent efforts and he can save ground from this spot and land another share.

Race 11

(6) STAN THE MAN hit town last week and tired chasing a sizzling pace set by DW's NY Yank; there's no such foe in here tonight. (3) THERAPUTIC has completely turned it around in his last two versus lesser and he merits a mention with these. (2) LUKAS HALL was well spotted in a stalking spot last week but broke; he could add some value underneath.

Race 12

(4) SILVER DEVIL steps up in class and loses Bartlett but he could be decent value in a very competitive finale. (3) MC DYNAMITE scored right off the claim hitting his best stride late and he's always a threat if in the right spot. (1) AMERICAN FLIGHT lacks the class of others but he's very sharp.
