Yonkers: Saturday 5/12 Analysis

MEET STATS: 127 - 366 / $616.30

Best Bet: MEANT TO BE ME (3rd)      Spot Play: DALLENBACH HANOVER (7th)

Race 1

(3) DEAR MAC has been a very steady commodity since joining the MacKenzie barn and he looks like he could be a factor at this level. (1) LOLAS CRUISER has class, draws best. (3) MY LAST LAUGH tired badly last week; I have to believe he's better than that.

Race 2

(1) AVOGADRO HANOVER was a game winner at this level three back; he deserves top billing from this spot. (3) DAN CHAZ steps up to face tougher, but he's been solid recently. (2) SALVESTER STALLION elected to cut the mile and was swallowed up last week; gelding should be close to the pace again.

Race 3

(5) MEANT TO BE ME drops in class off a very solid try and he appears the one to beat here. (1) TYLER HANOVER has speed and the rail; good combination. (2) PEMBROKE NICK has found his stride for Powerful Pena.

Race 4

(4) SHORTSTACKED draws decently enough in this tough-to-figure event and he could be a decent price with Vallee driving. (4) HYPNOTIST drops, draws better and he may be the favorite from this spot. (5) LIVEFREEORDIEHARD blew away a cheap field over at The Meadowlands.

Race 5

(1) FROGGY TURNER is the obvious odds-on choice here to make it two straight. (3) MAYFLOWERMOONSHINE was claimed by the sharp Buter outfit and he draws decently. (4) I SCOOT FOR CASH has been good out of town.

Race 6

(6) VALENTINO was used up on the engine and was overwhelmed by Razzle Dazzle in the Levy consolation; Surick charge could be heading to the front again. (5) NOB HILL HIGH finished with pace in the Levy final; Saunders trainee has been rock-solid all season. (4) CLEAR VISION made some good coin in the Levy.

Race 7

(1) DALLENBACH HANOVER held gamely after being uncovered into the odds-on favorite last week; Fraley trainee deserves a long look from this spot. (7) MILITARY STRATCOM is doing pretty good recently considering he used to be a 10 claimer. (2) MCGREAT has hit the board in all five starts since the McDermott claim.

Race 8

(1) MR COOLIE raced pretty well in his last two local starts, then shipped to Pocono and won; he's got a shot here if MacDonald can work out a perfect trip. (4) POKER HAT hasn't missed the board since moving to the Pena barn. (7) ROCK TO GLORY exits Levy action, where he was a minor player.

Race 9

(1) SAINT WILLIAM A gets much-needed post relief; expect Stalbaum to get aggressive from this spot. (5) GRAB YOUR KEYS gets Brennan in the bike again and they are an obvious threat. (4) WHATSITTOYOUGRANT is a steady earner and he could work out a piece.

Race 10

(1) ART FOR ARTS SAKE was facing better when last seen here with some success; he will be a threat with the inside draw. (5) URGENT ACTION got back on the winning track last week beating lesser. (2) TOBAGO CAYS hung on the money in his last three, but he does get class relief.

Race 11

(1) CIGAR HALL has obviously proven that he belongs at this level and he should be on the lead or in the pocket tonight. (5) FOX VALLEY TRIBAL blasted to the front, then sat a golden trip last week; the same scenerio can play out tonight. (6) REPORT FOR DUTY N is ridiculously erratic, but we all know he's capable on his best day.

Race 12

(1) STONEBRIDGE TONIC moves up the ladder again off a scintillating effort last week; he can take another here. (2) POWER OF A MOMENT was okay in the Levy, looks second best here. (5) HERE WE GO AGAIN is live stock from Burke, but the gelding has never won here.
