Yonkers: Saturday 4/5 Analysis

MEET STATS: 91 - 288 / $495.90   BEST BETS: 15 - 23 / $56.10

Best Bet: BETTOR’S EDGE (5th)

Spot Play: MAINLAND KEY (10th)

Race 1

(5) GAMBLER'S TALE rallied willingly last week from a no-chance spot. Yannick drives again and they should loom a big threat. (1) DREAM OUT LOUD N drops off a no-excuse effort, draws best but he's missed a couple of weeks. (4) DENVER DOLLY has hit the ticket in his last two.

Race 2

(2) BJ'S GUY gets serious post relief and he just missed at this level three back. (6) DOCTOR BUTCH failed in the Levy; let’s see how sharp he comes back versus lesser rivals. (5) STEELHEAD jogged versus weaker in his first start off the bench.

Race 3

(5) PANONGAHELA had been racing well prior to last week's disaster. I'll toss that poor effort over the slop and give him another chance. (3) CONNERY BLUE CHIP debuts for Garcia-Herrera via claim and he's been sharp. (1) NEPTUNE may lack the class of some others in here but the Chindano trainee has been solid in all recent starts.

Race 4

(1A) EASY AGAIN circled wide final turn looming large last week but flattened out; prior effort was solid and the Burke trainee is capable of rebounding tonight. (1) HILLBILLY HANOVER is another capable Burke charge to complete the solid entry. (4) TEXICAN N got going too late last week but closed well.

Race 5

Not only are (1) BETTOR'S EDGE and (1A) ARACACHE HANOVER arguably the two best horses in the race, they are coupled in the wagering and drew the two inside posts. (2) FAT MANS ALLEY needs to stay closer to the action in order to have a chance.

Race 6

(6) MONTANA PABLO A never fired last week at The Meadowlands but his last local effort with Pierce in the bike was impressive. (3) EIGHTEEN is back locally and the veteran always gives 100%. (2) GLASS PRINCE should benefit from the post improvement.

Race 7

(5) LAWGIVER HANOVER is up in class again off two strong scores. He appears capable of taking another. (1) LUMBERJACK WILLIE added Lasix and got the job done last week; he merits respect from this inside post. (6) ANNIESWESTERNCARD was outfinished in two efforts at Pocono; he may be better suited here.

Race 8

(1) DALLENBACH HANOVER figures to try and take these down the road. He's capable of making it on his best day. (7) CASIMIR JITTERBUG returns from Canada and he's raced well here in the past. (3) SECOND WIND N has finished third in his last three, but he really didn't fire that well last week.

Race 9

(2) ITRUSTYOU hasn't really had to fully exert himself in his two Levy victories. Gingras should be controlling the action once again tonight. (3) APPRENTICE HANOVER somehow got nailed at the wire last week in a tough beat; he does have the way ability to win here. (1A) MACH IT SO has really impressed since hitting town.

Race 10

(4) MAINLAND KEY N has plenty of back class and gained confidence with those two wins versus lesser; he can take another in this suspect field. (1) OPEN WATER draws best but Carlson opted off for the top choice. (3) SAND BENELLI is capable of saving ground and rallying for a share.

Race 11

(2A) FOILED AGAIN gets a little bit of a test tonight having drawn the worst post but I don't see anyone getting in his way in his quest for the lead; makes it three straight this year. (1) P H SUPERCAM should be able to secure a pocket trip and he can be second best. (2) SPECIAL FORCES was a decent second last week to his entrymate.

Race 12

(1) BAKIN ON THE BEACH is inconsistent but worth a try from this spot. (3) ESCAPE THE NEWS drops out of the Levy into this softer field. (5) ROLLWITHITHARRY had no chance of reaching last week; he should be somewhat closer tonight.
