Yonkers: Saturday 4/19 Analysis

MEET STATS: 117 - 348 / $621.00   BEST BETS: 19 - 28 / $66.80

Best Bet: FOILED AGAIN (11th)

Spot Play: MACHAPELO (3rd)

Race 1

(3) HYPNOTIST got lost early and never rallied last week; he's down in class tonight and is reunited with Bartlett. (8) STATESMAN N dropped and popped last out. He stays at the same level but now has to contend with post eight. (7) SHOW ME UP needs a trip but may be able to rally for a share.

Race 2

(3) KYLE MAJOR teamed up with Pierce for a big uncovered win last month and he should be a big threat tonight from this good post. (7) YO CHEYENNE ROCKY gets Brennan in the bike tonight and I wouldn't be shocked if he tried to generate some early speed. (8) WHOGOESFIRST returns at a reduced level but must navigate the eight hole.

Race 3

(3) MACHAPELO had too far to come last week; his prior effort he made up a ton of late ground and the five-year-old could be close enough to strike from this spot. (6) COWBOY TERRIER may lack the class of others in here but he does face softer tonight and the Brainard barn has been live. (4) THANKS FOR STOPPIN also drops and retains Tetrick; threat.

Race 4

(1) CLEAR VISION quarter-moved and held in solid fashion last week; veteran may be peaking at the right time. (3) APPRENTICE HANOVER took last week off and his prior effort he dug in gamely to hold off the sharp Mach It So; expect an aggressive attempt. (2) SAPPHIRE CITY fired off the gate in his last two starts and held well late; tonight he draws best.

Race 5

(5) DANCIN YANKEE was absolutely super in defeat last week. Josh Green trainee is in raging form and he may be sharp enough to overcome the outside post. (1) BETTOR'S EDGE draws best and Yannick is back driving. (1B) ITRUSTYOU may be a touch below some of the other Levy contenders but he's certainly no slouch. (2) KEYSTONE VELOCITY can save ground and make some money from this spot.

Race 6

(4) ETHAN HANOVER looks for five in a row and he can do it despite Sears jumping off. The price may be decent as well. (6) GOBAN should be a big speed threat. (3) CASIMIR JITTERBUG returned from Canada and promptly took two in a row; Sears sticks.

Race 7

(2) REAL NICE is up in class off a win and it looks like the millionaire veteran has finally regained his stride. (4) VERSADO drops from the Levy and should be forwardly placed. (5) ART OF TEMPATION has been super in his last two and he could be a contender for the bottom of the ticket.

Race 8

(3) SILENT SWING returns locally off a solid closing effort at The Meadowlands and the 12-year-old veteran can head to the front here. (7) DREAM OUT LOUD N was in gear late last out and he can be a closing threat again despite the poor post. (4) MACHS BEACH BOY drops in class but the Lachance barn has been underperforming of late.

Race 9

(1) LUMBERJACK WILLIE gave way on the front end last out but he's back down in class and gets another chance from the best post. (2) ERLE DALE N gets needed post relief and he should be right in the hunt. (4) CONNERY BLUE CHIP saved ground and closed well in his second start for Garcia-Herrera.

Race 10

(5) DALLENBACH HANOVER had good speed at both ends of his mile last week and he should be forwardly placed again. (1) MAJOR BELLE returns locally and the Burke trainee is impossible to ignore from this spot. (3) DOCTOR BUTCH never fired last week at odds-on and the four year old is impossible to endorse based on that effort.

Race 11

(1B) FOILED AGAIN is right back in this week looking for five straight in the Levy. Assuming he faces little early resistance, there's no reason to think the outside post will present a problem. (1) EASY AGAIN made an uncharacteristic break last week; prior to that start he's been super. (5) MACH IT SO has also been awesome in the series but unless he blasts from the gate he faces a big uphill climb. (2) MR HASANI N draws the rail and he should be able to suck along for a piece.

Race 12

(1) RESCUE PLAN had no chance to see the lead last week and therefore didn't fire; he drops in class and lands the rail. Lots to like. (3) MONEY TWITCH A took a ton of money last out and faltered badly on the front end; he's better than that. (4) BJ'S GUY was a solid winner at this level two back.
