Yonkers: Saturday 4/16 Analysis

MEET STATS: 112 - 357 / $621.60

BEST BETS: 16 - 30 / $57.10

Best Bet: P H SUPERCAM (5th)

Spot Play: MAH SISH N (12th)

Race 1

(5) JOURNEYMAN has been facing better of late and finds a very soft NW12000 field; effort from two back is enough to beat these. (6) SKY IS THE LIMIT keeps Brennan and has also been facing better. (2) SER JON moves back inside and Tetrick drives again; threat.

Race 2

(2) MONROE COUNTY loomed large but hung when it counted last week and was outfinished by two better rivals; trotter was a game winner when last at this level. (4) DEWYCOLORINTHELINE has picked up minor shares in his last two versus Open types and the Schnittker trainee should fit well here. (3) CRAZY ABOUT PAT hasn't shown much since returning but he's clearly better than that.

Race 3

(3) SUPREME MACH N moves into a new barn, picks up Tetrick and was a winner when last at this level; worth a try in this tough-to-figure event. (2) DUEL IN THE SUN has clearly tailed off in his last few but the Mark Ford trainee is still a legitimate speed threat. (5) CLASSIESISTAR N hails from the hot Stratton/Tritton tandem and he could be a closing threat at a price.

Race 4

(5) MELADY'S MONET came back from vacation very sharp with last week's win at The Meadowlands and we all know what he's done at Yonkers in the past; clearly the one to defeat in this short field. (4) DW'S NY YANK should be heading to the front and either cut the mile or release the top choice. (3) DOT DOT DOT DASH didn't really fire last week but the small field ensures she'll never be too far back.

Race 5

(1) P H SUPERCAM bounced back with a sharp performance to be second best to Wiggle It Jiggleit last week and the former Levy champ will likely be controlling the action from this spot. (3) ALL BETS OFF was outfinished by the top choice after stalking the pace; Kakaley may need to find a pocket trip here for his best chance. (2) LETTUCEROCKTHEM A is a quality pacer but he's still got something to prove to me.

Race 6

(1) FOILED AGAIN took last week off after three less-than-inspiring efforts in the Levy; oldtimer should be well rested and it would shock nobody if he took this field the distance. (2) MACH IT SO prevailed last week after setting a very comfortable pace; versatile gelding can do it from on or off the pace. (5) TE KAWAU N just missed after sitting a trip in last; recent import clearly could have more to offer.

Race 7

In an epic matchup I have to stick with (4) BIT OF A LEGEND N. Tritton trainee looks to go a perfect 5-for-5 in the series and hasn't even been used hard yet. With the favorable post he could have a tactical edge on (7) WIGGLE IT JIGGLEIT. The latter has picked up right where he left off last season and the Horse of the Year will be giving his usual 110%; Montrell Teague will be firing hard early. (3) LIMELIGHT BEACH has been much better in his last two and can be used underneath.

Race 8

(4) BEACH MEMORIES dropped out of the Levy and took care of business at this level last week; classy veteran is capable of repeating. (6) E Z NOAH has come up just shy in his last three and clearly he's a speed threat again. (5) LUNAR TIDE N has failed to duplicate his stellar effort from four back but I don't think anyone would be surprised if he stepped up in a big way.

Race 9

(6) CYCLONE KIWI N drops in class again off two no-chance efforts and I would expect Tetrick to have him in the game early. (4) A PLUS HANOVER gets some post relief and he was Bartlett's choice. (3) DULL ROAR had good late pace last week after saving ground.

Race 10

(7) DONAU was aggressively handled two back and just failed versus better; obviously this is a tough outside spot but if Buter can improve position early this one's got a chance. (3) SANTANNA ONE gets post relief, returns to Sears and certainly seems logical. (5) EXIT CAM lacks the winning profile but he gets Dube in the bike tonight.

Race 11

(5) HALL BRO went down the road last week and appeared to have something left in the tank; he should be forwardly placed again in a field with no major standouts. (2) SAPPHIRE CITY is back on five days rest after taking lesser wire-to-wire at an overlay price; one could argue that he's the best in here. (4) FIRST CLASS HORSE seems capable of rallying late off a live trip.

Race 12

(4) MAH SISH N has been good in all four starts off the Blumenfeld claim and he gets some needed post relief tonight; stay on board. (3) ROCK ICON was a solid second last week and he looks like the deserving favorite. (1) MADIBA MAGIC N failed on the front end last out but we know he's better than that.
