Yonkers: Saturday 4/13 Analysis

MEET STATS: 98 - 255 / $532.50       BEST BETS: 14 - 20 / $44.80

Best Bet: LITTLE MICHAEL B (5th)

Spot Play: SOUTHERN ALLIE (12th)

Race 1

(3) P H JACKPOT schleps back east, back to the venue where he's had plenty of success. (1) SOUTHWIND TABOR is feeling good again and the 10-year-old is primed to land a big share from this spot. (5) LIGHTNING STRIKE drops in class and has some speed.

Race 2

(5) WHAT'SITTOYOUGRANT toured the track last week with little chance; this looks like a spot where he may be able to leave the gate and sit a live trip. (2) NOBLE FALCON beat these two back and is clearly the headliner in here. (4) K SLATER steps up in class, but gets some needed post relief.

Race 3

(3) AUSSIE REACTOR A was a solid uncovered winner four back versus this type; from this spot Brennan may elect to leave to the front. (1) ELECTRIC SHOOTER returns locally and lands the rail, which makes him an instant contender. (4) BETTOR DESIGN usually races as well as he draws, so this midpack post gives him a chance to hit the ticket.

Race 4

(5) ELECTROFIRE was going nowhere last week from that outside post; tonight he lands in a much more reasonable spot and it's almost a guarantee he'll be heading to the front. (2) E Z NOAH draws best and is capable of sitting a trip from start to finish. (1A) ATOCHIA has certainly underwhelmed in this series; will last year's Levy winner ever get underway?

Race 5

(2) LITTLE MICHAEL B tried to take a much better field down the road last week and proved stubborn before tiring; four-year-old can take these the distance. (3) IN COMMANDO also drops out of the Levy and should show more. (1) SAMS ESCAPE can hold the rest safe from this spot.

Race 6

(1) ANNIESWESTERNCARD couldn't leave last week and lingered on the rim without threatening; he can certainly be excused for that effort. Expect him to go down the road tonight at a short mutuel. (4) SECOND WIND N showed what he's capable of last week; second best here? (6) NOB HILL HIGH chased Something For Doc last week when he had an inside post; unfortunately he's outside and will probably only threaten for a small share.

Race 7

(2) FOILED AGAIN was hustled along by Gingras and did what he was supposed to do; he'll probably repeat tonight but it may not be that easy. (4) CLASSIC ROCK NROLL has been deceptively good in the series and he outdraws the rest of his main competition. (7) VERSADO may have a hard time reaching the front tonight.

Race 8

(3) AMERICAN RAGE was very impressive in his local debut and he can come right back here. (4) FLEM N EM N has hit the board in four-of-five and figures as highly here. (6) OUTRAGEOUS ART is near-perfect this year for Burke.

Race 9

(2) ROCKINCAM didn't tire that badly after a long grind in his second seasonal start; if Goodell can secure the pocket trip behind (1) SOMETHING FOR DOC he's got a good shot to run that one down, The latter is the "it" horse in this year's Levy but he faces some tougher competition tonight. (3) CASIMIR JITTERBUG was a good second to Foiled Again last week.

Race 10

(4) JACKED UP was glued to the rail last week and finished mildly; I'll give him another chance in this field with no standouts. (1) SHORTSTACKED draws best again and picks up Tetrick; logical. (3) RU READY TO ROCK moves up off a solid front-end score; can't see him shaking free from this field.

Race 11

(4) WHOGOESFIRST returns locally off some good tries at Pocono and he finds a rather soft spot. (2) WESTERN CHURCHILL raced well last week from post seven, now gets post two. (5) KEYSTONE VELOCITY was clearly moving too late in last as the 2/5 favorite; very disappointing.

Race 12

(5) SOUTHERN ALLIE never fully fired last week but still landed a small share; if Gingras is aggressive early he's got a huge chance here. (3) FLIPPER J drops from the Levy and will be more involved. (1) PAN FROM NANTUCKET was a strong pocket-sitting winner versus lesser when on two days rest; he draws best again.
