Yonkers: Saturday 3/9 Analysis

MEET STATS: 65 - 168 / $368.90     BEST BETS: 9 - 13 / $30.50

Best Bet: A J CORBELLI (11th)       Spot Play: PONTIAC LUCK (12th)

Race 1

(8) ERIDANUS N tired badly after his wicked speed mission last week; he will be a much-improved price tonight from off the pace and perhaps he can produce his speed burst late in the mile. (2) GEORGETOWN N gets another crack at an inside post and he remains a threat. (5) LUCKY MAN has class and should land a share.

Race 2

(5) AUSSIE REACTOR A gets some needed post relief tonight and although Goodell opted off this veteran gets the hot Kakaley in the bike. (6) TIDEWATER TOMAHAWK exits claimers, has Sears driving and could be a threat. (1) GRAB YOUR KEYS qualified in good order and draws best.

Race 3

(4) MORTAL ZIN hasn't really gotten untracked this year after having a nice three-year-old campaign. Maybe the change in scenery will help his cause. (1) GUN SHOW has speed and draws best with Brennan driving. (2) TYLER HANOVER should save ground while close-up and that makes him a late threat.

Race 4

(8) NINE INNINGS went a good effort in defeat upon returning locally; he's got the speed to overcome the poor post. (2) BLUERIDGE WESTERN drops in class, draws well and may be the one to beat. (3) SAMS ESCAPE has hit the board in his last three.

Race 5

(3) CIGAR HALL should be more involved from this inside post and he finds a reasonably soft field tonight. (2) DREAMLUCK moves up in class but he raced willingly in his debut for new connections. (1) BOMBAY AWAY was a winner at this level three back.

Race 6

(7) ANNIESWESTERNCARD was a solid winner two back in the Open then followed that up with a big effort at Dover; any sort of live trip here and he can conquer these. (4) SAPPHIRE CITY was uninvolved last week, his first start back from the layoff; expect better tonight. (5) ELECTROFIRE was game in defeat last week.

Race 7

(2) HANDSOME PRINCE usually goes well from inside posts; hard to ignore anything from Burke. (7) SLENT SWING is capable of blasting from the gate, which will put this veteran in the mix. (6) ROADWAY drops a touch in class tonight.

Race 8

(7) GREAT VINTAGE was hand-driven last week while beating up on lesser; he's got the class to handle these. (1) VILLAGE BEAT closed well to just miss last week, now tonight he lands the best post; obvious threat. (6) LETTUCEROCKU A was a winner in his last two local appearances.

Race 9

(2) HERE WE GO AGAIN is notoriously camera-shy but this looks like a spot where he could be victorious. (3) BJ'S BEQUIA gets much-needed post relief. (4) K SLATER has raced well in all three 2013 attempts.

Race 10

(2) RELENTLESS G had no chance last week from post seven; improving gelding will be much more involved tonight. (4) BETTORS CURSE always gets a check but from this spot he may be close enough to strike. (5) CAVIART KEY picks up Sears tonight.

Race 11

(1) A J CORBELLI was a safe winner last week and he lands the rail again; repeats. (5) PERRITO CALIENTE is nearly perfect since joining the Burke barn. (3) JERRYS BROWN GOLD can usually be counted on for a share from inside posts.

Race 12

(1) PONTIAC LUCK has ascended the class ladder quickly, and last week he was a willing finisher. Kakaley should take no prisoners tonight from the rail. (4) WHOGOESFIRST is a nice gelding and he should show more in his second start off the bench. (2) WESTERN DAKOTA draws well again and he's capable of landing a share.
