Yonkers: Saturday 3/24 Analysis

MEET STATS: 71 - 201 / $333.30

Best Bet: TYS A BIG STAR (2nd)    Spot Play: LUCKY MAN (12th)

Race 1

(6) DETERMINE THIS proved very stubborn on the front end last week; he's got the speed to overcome the outside post. (2) ROADWAY tired after being aggressively handled in his debut for new connections; another chance. (3) POKER HAT has rallied well for Pena in his last two.

Race 2

(1) TYS A BIG STAR set a wild and hotly contested pace in his local return; he draws best here with Sears driving and they should head smoothly down the road. (2) UNTOLD LEGEND qualified well and was a winner when last seen at this level. (3) BUSHWOOD Z TAM gets needed post relief.

Race 3

(1) MACRAIDER N has shown no speed in his last three; that won't be the case tonight from the rail. (4) STRAND HANOVER arrives in prime shape and finds a softer division of the Levy. (3) POWER OF TARA N was a big earner Down Under; obviously he's got ability.

Race 4

(1) CODE WORD has seriously picked up his game in recent weeks and he now appears good enough to compete at this elite level. (7) STONEBRIDGE TONIC had come good efforts here last fall and he may have enough speed to overcome the post. (2) FOREIGN OFFICER should be close up throughout.

Race 5

(2) CLEAR VISION was a clear third in last week's needed tightener; Burke trainee looks to have a class edge on these. (4) MAINLAND KEY N has had his moments here in the past. (3) FITZS Z TAM was game in defeat last out at Chester.

Race 6

(1) SUMMER CAMP arrived locally in tip-top shape and raced well in all three local appearances; Josn Green trainee drew best and should have a tactical advantage against his speed rivals. (4) SILENT SWING should take a shot leaving as hard as he can to have his best shot here. (3) SOUTHERN ALLIE returns off good efforts at The Meadows and he's won here in the past.

Race 7

(7) BIG BAY POINT will fire to the lead, then it's a 50/50 chance if he holds on. (4) VERSADO makes his second start off the bench and he should be better tonight. (8) REAL FLIGHT is sharp and would be the pick, but I think the eight hole does him in.

Race 8

(5) ROCK TO GLORY has been sharp in his recent Open tests and he may be able to ride live cover tonight. (4) NOB HILL HIGH has been super in all recent efforts and he appears sharp enough to compete here. (6) RIVER SHARK was done no favors at the post draw; classy Mark Ford trainee fits nicely here.

Race 9

(6) FOILED AGAIN tightened well with those two Meadowlands qualifiers and the two-time Levy champion should be ready to roll in his seasonal debut. (5) REAL NICE tuned up for this by pacing in 1:51 3/5 (even though he lost) and the defending champ should be forwardly placed here. (1) BLATANTLY GOOD just keeps earning and earning; he'll have to be aggressive here to secure good position.

Race 10

(1) SEA VENTURE returns with class relief and he can be a big threat if he behaves himself. (6) SAINT WILLIAM A has come back sharp for Team Stalbaum and he may be the main threat here. (3) SOUTHWIND TABOR showed improvement last out after a few flat efforts.

Race 11

(8) GREYSTONE CASH moves up in class and has the eight hole, but last week's effort was so impressive that he bears following. (1) NY ICE cut a :59 1/5 half after clearing from the outside post in his debut for Pena; this has got to stop. (2) SAMS ESCAPE draws well, fits with these.

Race 12

(4) LUCKY MAN jogged two back at this level; classy gelding should repeat. (1) ON THE BRINK finally gets some post relief; let's see if can take advantage. (6) EAGLE ALL was the textbook definition of a "pocket rocket" last week.
