Yonkers: Saturday 3/22 Analysis

MEET STATS: 77 - 240 / $428.10   BEST BETS: 13 - 19 / $51.00

Best Bet: A J CORBELLI (5th)

Spot Play: SHOW ME UP (10th)

Race 1

(3) BOLDER was bottomed out of the pocket in last, however there's nothing special to endorse here and the veteran is capable with a live trip. (4) SIR RICHARD Z TAM is better than he's been showing. (6) I'M THE PIED PIPER showed some renewed energy by closing from off the pace last week.

Race 2

(5) DANCIN YANKEE was game in defeat in his local return, snapping a big winning streak. He can be tough tonight if Pierce can make the lead. (1)  CLEAR VISION needed his first two 2014 starts and the Burke trainee should be ready to roll. (3) MACH IT SO showed some life in that qualifier over at The Meadowlands and the four-year-old has obvious ability.

Race 3

(3) VERSADO gets Gingras in the bike tonight and along with the improved post this veteran may be tough to deny. (2) ROCNROLWILNEVERDIE had plenty of pace once shaking free last out and Sears sticks. (1) VILLAGE BEAT hasn't fired with his best in some time but he's still capable with these.

Race 4

(2A) SWEET LOU qualified impressively and if ready he can handle these with ease. (3) PAN FROM NANTUCKET hasn't put in a bad race in ages and the Godinez trainee draws best. (1) FAT MANS ALLEY is a proven commodity who can strike at any time, especially from an inside post.

Race 5

(2) A J CORBELLI has strung a bunch of wins together (as I predicted a couple of months back). Veteran gelding draws best and has a tactical advantage on his rivals. (1) ITRUSTYOU ships in for Burke with a solid resume, including two sharp qualifying efforts at The Meadows. (4) FLEM N EM N could be a touch overmatched in this series but he should be able to land a share here.

Race 6

(4) RESCUE PLAN has remained sharp for an extended period of time now and he has the early speed to work out a live trip. (1) LIVE ON just missed from the pocket last out and he figures to be perfectly positioned again. (2) RUSSLEY RASCAL N gets Brennan in the bike tonight.

Race 7

(2) GOBAN has been good since joining the Brittany Robertson barn and he had some traffic issues last week; it could be smooth sailing tonight from this inside post. (3) DIAMOND COWBOY drops back to the level of his easy win two back. (4) DIGITAL Z TAM breezed to victory versus lesser in his debut for Garcia-Herrera.

Race 8

(3) SECOND WIND N is reunited with Tetrick, and they teamed up to make some money in last year's Levy. This is obviously a softer group than he would be facing in the 2014 installment of the series. (1) LIGHTNING RAIDER N lands back inside and returns to a catch driver. (5) MONTREAL PHIL is capable of rallying for a share from this spot.

Race 9

(3) MALAK USWAAD N has raced at a high level here in the past. Down-Under import lands inside in a soft Levy division and would be no surprise here. (5) EDDIE SWEAT lacks the class of others here but he's got big speed. (1) EASY AGAIN looks like the more logical half of the Burke entry and he cannot be ignored.

Race 10

Three back (4) SHOW ME UP powered away to an easy win then he had no realistic chance in his last two. This is a very soft field he meets tonight. (7) THUNDER SEESTER was Sears' choice, merits respect. (6) JOHNNY Z exits claimers and the veteran has been sharp.

Race 11

(1A) FOILED AGAIN is amazingly coming back as a ten-year-old and he may be stronger than ever. He worked those two qualifiers at The Meadowlands to perfection and while I would usually say he may need a start something tells me he'll be ready to fly tonight. (1) HILLBILLY HANOVER is coupled with Foiled Again, draws best and is no slouch. (3) APPRENTICE HANOVER ships from Canada with a top-shelf resume; four-year-old may have even more to offer. (4) TEXICAN N is another import for Tritton who has ability.

Race 12

(2) JERRY'S BROWN GOLD had some speed from his outside spot last week; Yannick drives tonight from this improved post. (1) FOUR STARZ TRACE held well for a board spot last out after a long uncovered trip. (4) REAL NICE was much-improved in last; Brennan drives tonight.
