MEET STATS: 54 - 144 / $317.30     BEST BETS: 7 - 11 / $22.70

Best Bet: GREAT VINTAGE (11th)      Spot Play: EIGHTEEN (8th)

Race 1

(5) CURATOR invades from Canada upon joining the Casie Coleman barn and good things should be expected right off the bat. (1) ALLAMERICAN PEWTER was 50-1 last week but was claimed by a sharp outfit; he'll attract attention based on that angle. (2) IDEAL MATTERS ships in from The Meadowlands off a game win.

Race 2

(1) ERIDANUS N raced evenly on the rim last week; I would expect an aggressive effort from this spot. (3) LINE OFFICER isn't the most reliable horse out there, but he does drop in class and he has Brennan driving. (5) FAT MANS ALLEY appears capable of landing a share.

Race 3

(2) ON THE BRINK hasn't won in ages but there isn't much else to endorse here; veteran managed to bank $124K last year with only three wins. (1) ROYAL MEETING was second best the last three times he had inside posts. (3) TY'S A BIG STAR has been sharp recently facing claimers.

Race 4

(8) HURRIKANE JON PAUL didn't fire chasing a rated pace upon arrival; gelding is racing himself back into shape and he's worth a look at what should be a good price. (6) VODKA IS TERROR lost all chance with that break last out; prior form is ok. (3) NINE INNINGS has been a disaster since that high-priced claim; he's got the talent.

Race 5

(4) CIGAR HALL had no chance last week; his prior couple of efforts were good and Stratton should be able to leave the gate from this spot. (6) SHOW ME UP is better than he's been racing; Sears drives tonight. (1) GEORGETOWN N will be a threat if he stays pacing.

Race 6

(7) ELECTROFIRE rallied steadily for a spot last out; Casie Coleman trainee has been rock-solid in all recent efforts. Sears needs to float from the gate here in order to be close enough to strike. (4) SAPPHIRE CITY has missed time but the track record holder qualified in good order and could be ready for action. (8) SOMETHING FOR DOC will have to work hard if he wants to see the lead.

Race 7

(2) SPARKY has certainly found his stride in his last two and he looks imposing from this spot. (3) WINTER RETREAT A gets needed post relief. (1) MONTREAL PHIL broke through to the win column two back, then had no chance last week; threat from the rail.

Race 8

(1) EIGHTEEN can control the action from this spot, and he gets brave when on the front end. (4) ROADWAY has been racing well with better; big threat. (2) SAFE HARBOR returns to Brennan and draws well.

Race 9

(3) OK BREAVHEART was Sears' choice of four and that will be the angle I use here. (4) BLUERIDGE WESTERN is coming off a win at this level, but he was scratched sick last week. (6) BETTOR DESIGN has disappointed lately but he is capable with these.

Race 10

(1) A J CORBELLI was my choice last week, but he scratched. He returns tonight, draws best and gets the call. (5) FOX VALLEY TRIBAL is capable of blasting from the gate and sitting a live trip. (4) JACKED UP showed what he's capable of with that win last out.

Race 11

(4) GREAT VINTAGE drops out of the Open and right into the winning spot. (5) PONTIAC LUCK has jogged in his last two and I think he will be competitive here despite facing tougher. (8) GO WEST LUCKY CAM showed high speed in his debut for Coleman.

Race 12

(1) WHACKAMOLE HANOVER closed well last week, his third start since returning locally. Veteran is proven at this level. (6) HERE WE GO AGAIN still lacks the winning touch but he should be able to go with these. (4) NOBLE FALCON is classy and gets post relief.
