Best Bet: MACON GEORGIA A (12th) Spot Play: TECHTOR HANOVER (3rd) MEET STATS: 91 - 308 / $518.80 BEST BETS: 10 - 24 / $37.30 Race 1 (6) TEO ENTEO N hiked to this $40K claiming level two back and has proven he belongs with this type; Stalbaum charge lands outside again but that should make him the best price of the contenders. (2) STATESMAN N took advantage of a quitting leader last week but it was still a solid win; veteran is always a threat with an inside post. (4) J T finally landed in the win column after the claim four back; he's a clear player again. Race 2 (3) MELMERBY BEACH seems to be feeling good again and when on his game is better than these; switch to Bartlett is interesting. (6) OH JONNY B GOOD N was rock-solid last week, just missing to Somewhere in L A; Dube's choice. (2) P H SUPERCAM rekindled some of that old glory last week with a nice upset score and he gets a free ride at this level. Race 3 (3) TECHTOR HANOVER gets needed class relief and meets a field with some very questionable rivals; he was a solid winner from a similar spot three back. (1) BETTOR ROCK ON N was totally empty last out but we know he's better than that; rebounds? (5) SANTA FE BEACHBOY has the class but his last few efforts haven't been all that inspiring. Race 4 (6) CHUMLEE A has been on a super run for Team Stalbaum, including two big parked-out grinds in his most recent efforts; Down-under import deserves a chance with the big boys and doesn't land in the toughest division. (2) MACH IT SO is a Levy veteran and qualified three times in preparation for this; is he ready or a bit short? (4) BLOOD BROTHER beat lesser two straight and has plenty of Levy experience. Race 5 (3) CHRISTEN ME N lands in a nice spot inside his main rivals and that should give the classy import a tactical edge; Tetrick may be the one to catch here. (5) WAIKIKI BEACH A arrives to face the big boys and has the looks of a real good one; I suspect he will be overbet, however. (7) KEYSTONE VELOCITY makes his seasonal debut but last year's champ is stuck outside; how aggressive will Dube get at the start? Tough to say. Race 6 (1) DR J HANOVER had a very nice seasonal debut at The Meadowlands and the Alagna trainee can be set up perfectly from this spot. (2) ALL BETS OFF needs no introduction and he looks ready off those qualifiers; take note of a driver change however as his regular pilot Kakaley is recovering from injuries sustained in a racing accident. (3) SOMEWHERE IN L A took care of business in his two 2018 starts but didn't look overly impressive. Race 7 (2) SIMPLY SUSATIONAL N is one of a handful of recent Team Stalbaum imports that have already made an impact; if this one races back to his effort three back that could be good enough to defeat these. (6) EVENIN OF PLEASURE is a classy veteran who returns locally, now in the Jenn Bongiorno barn, and those qualifiers looked good. He could be ready for action. (4) ROCKIN RON is tough to gauge off that very disappointing effort two weeks back. Race 8 (2) FAMEOUS WESTERN finished with plenty of pace after getting buried last week; veteran owns one big move and could brush by these if it's timed right. (4) MR RIGHT HANOVER parlayed live cover into a win last week and he does stay at the same level. (7) TULLOW N certainly fits with these; only problem is the post. Race 9 (1) BADIX HANOVER is up in class after jogging on the front end and he may be sharp enough to handle these. (3) DREAM OF LUCK is back from the Open and at a more realistic level, where he's taken two straight; big threat despite losing Bartlett. (5) STATHAM N is live stock from Tritton but he may need a trip from this spot. Race 10 (1) ARMABLUECHIPBOY N has made me a believer in his last few starts and he does have some versatility which can come into play from this inside post; DiDomenico trainee could be sharp enough to handle this type. (6) BEAT THE DRUM looks for six straight but he does change hands off the claim. (3) COWBOY TERRIER returns locally and has been racing well over at The Meadowlands for Burke. Race 11 (1) MISSILE J already has six starts under his belt in 2018 earning almost $50K in the process; he lands the best post in his local return and we all remember how sharp he was at the start of last year's Levy. (3) BIT OF A LEGEND N returns to the races off just one qualifier but I'm positive the Tritton trainee will be ready for action; 2016 Levy champ projects to be a big player again this year. (4) FRANCO RAYNOR N almost outleft the car last week and destroyed cheaper; speed could make him a player here. Race 12 (4) MACON GEORGIA A can be excused for last week's effort where he was used twice and still battled stubbornly; he's clearly back in top shape and should be able to handle these. (3) RANCOUSY is usually a player from decent posts such as this. (5) MOONLITEONTHEBEACH has just been 'ok' in his two starts since returning to Yonkers; I wouldn't accept too short of a price on him.
