Best Bet: CAVIART LUCA (6th) Spot Play: SETTLEMOIR (8th) MEET STATS: 484 - 1377 / $2,628.70 BEST BETS: 65 - 117 / $216.90   Race 1 Enough fooling around, it's time for (6) MELMERBY BEACH to show up for work and take care of business in this soft NW20000 division. (2) ALBERTO CONTADOR N is a proven commodity at this level and gets needed post relief; clear player. (1) CHEYENNE SEEBER tripped out from a similar spot three back to upset; Holland will have him forwardly placed off the gate. Race 2 (1) SWING CITY got shuffled out from the pocket in his last start; prior two Yonkers races were solid, however, so this guy deserves another chance. (5) FIRST CLASS HORSE has been unable to seal the deal recently at this level, but he should be in the number. (8) COOPERSTOWN starts from a tough post but does have early speed to compensate. Race 3 (4) CHEVALS CLIVESDALE really doesn't thrill me here but I just don't like anyone else. (5) SPORTY SPOOK A has tailed off in his recent efforts but he has proven in the past thet he can go with this type. (1) SECRECY was buried in those Open 4YO events when last here; class relief and inside post helps. Race 4 (2) SOTO was a Levy finalist and should find a way to beat these. (4) TAKE IT BACK TERRY charged home off poor cover last out which may finally be signaling a return to top form; Burke-trained veteran may be the main threat to the top choice. (6) SANTA FE BEACHBOY lands in a tough spot but he looked really good recently beating cheaper. Race 5 (4) STARSKY'S DREAM N has been razor-sharp for the Brittany Robertson barn, which puts up solid numbers year after year, and he looks for four straight at this level. (1) ROCK N ROLL LEGACY has put in very few poor efforts since arriving for Team Bongiorno and the gelding draws best. (2) GYPSY LEATHER was good two back, awful last out; improvement tonight dropping in class? Race 6 (3) CAVIART LUCA went nowhere from the tough post last out but clearly this is a better spot and the Burke trainee can flex his muscles. (4) THE REAL ONE didn't fire in last and though we all know he's capable of better, he's always a tough play. (1) THISJETSABOOKIN isn't a true Open horse but he's held his own from inside posts. Race 7 (4) VORACITY isn't proven yet at this level but that was a pretty good effort last out chasing a classy rival and he draws inside his main competition tonight. (5) RODEO ROCK reverted to speed tactics last out and was a solid front-end winner; versatile sort is a player from this spot. (6) PACING MAJOR N can never be discounted for Tritton. Race 8 (5) SETTLEMOIR makes his second start back in for a tag and he did race evenly last out while not having much of a chance; worth a try here if the price is right. (3) RANCOUSY draws well enough and has been a solid earner all year at this $50K claiming level. (6) WINDS OF CHANGE has been second best in his last two off ground saving trips; he should be a player again but may have to work harder tonight. Race 9 (3) SHANE ADAM was aggressively handled last out and paid the price late; 5-year-old has blossomed since moving to the Banca barn and he draws inside what he needs to beat. (4) SPORTSKEEPER steps up in class off a solid win and should offer value. (5) MACON GEORGIA A debuts for Bamond off the $50K claim and has been in career form; will he stay sharp for his new connections? Race 10 (2) ONE TO DRAW TO was actually very good in last, bouncing back from a poor effort the prior start; he could be a decent price in a race where it's tough to make a strong case for anybody. (5) PARNU HANOVER gets Bartlett back in the bike and could be a speed threat. (3) CANBEC KINGKAZIMIR regained his form beating lesser out of town. Race 11 (3) ROLAND N ROCK hasn't looked all that great in his last two but he does drops back down in class tonight and is certainly capable of turning things around at a decent price. (2) DEETZY returns to Yonkers, gets Bartlett in the bike and could be the controlling speed. (5) SOMEHWERE FANCY returns locally and has beaten this type in the past. Race 12 (2) GRATIAN HANOVER was very game in defeat upon dropping to this level and despite facing some interesting rivals the Team Bongiorno charge deserves top billing. (3) TECHTOR HANOVER gets needed class and post relief and he's been in good form for some time. (4) ROCKNROLL WILDCATS debuts for the Burke Brigade via sale and he's been very sharp up at Saratoga in their top class. [DRF HARNESS NEWSLETTER: Sign Up for the FREE DRF Harness Newsletter.
